Amazon Trekking Adventures

6 day Rio Negro to Amazon Trekking Tour
for only US$ 695 per person with a minimum of 2 people.

1st day - arrive Manaus, where you will be met and transferred to the Italia Hotel or similar.

2nd day - 9:00 transport from your hotel to the port of Manaus, transport by speed boat (3 hours) to the starting point of your trekking excursion on Lake Acajatuba (just before the first of the Anavilhanas Islands, Negro River), lunch in a traditional Caboclo house (river people), Piranha fishing, Alligator search, setting up the night camp, sleeping in hammocks.

3rd day - 8:00 breakfast at the overnight camp, trekking for approximately 4-6 hours, setting up the night camp, search for night time animals, sleeping in hammocks.

4th day - 8:00 breakfast at the camp, whole day trekking, setting up the night camp, search for night time animals, sleeping in hammocks.

5th day - 8:00 breakfast at the camp, approximately 4 hours trekking, lunch in a Caboclo house, return from town of Manacaparu (Amazon River) to Manaus by bus and ferry boat. Overnight at Italia Hotel or similar.

6th day - breakfast. Transfer back to airport for departure.


8 day Rio Negro to Amazon Trekking Tour
for only US$895 per person with a minimum of 2 people.

1st day - arrive Manaus, where you will be met and transferred to the Italia Hotel or similar.

2nd day - 9:00 transport from your hotel to the port of Manaus, transport by Riverboat to the "meeting of the waters" (confluence of the Negro and Amazonas Rivers), search for pink and grey River Dolphins, lunch on board the Riverboat, boat travel up the Negro River to the Over Look Lodge (before the first of the Anavilhanas Islands, Canoeing, dinner at the Lodge, search for alligator and other night-time animals.

3rd day - 8:00 breakfast at the Lodge, boat transfer to Lake Acajatuba, lunch at a traditional Caboclo house (river people), 3-4 hours trekking, set up night camp, excursions in the surrounding rain forest, dinner at the camp, sleeping in hammocks.

4th day - 7th day - 8:00 breakfast at the camp, whole day trekking, setting up night camp, search for night-time animals.

7th day - Trekking and arrival near the town of Manacaparu after five days trekking from the Negro to the Amazon River (here called the Solimoes), bus and ferry back to Manaus city. Overnight at Italia Hotel or similar.

8th day - breakfast. Transfer back to airport for departure.

The jungle portion of the tours are "all inclusive" w/ transport, English speaking jungle guide and porters, all meals, mineral water. Breakfasts are the only meals included while at Manaus hotel.

Breakfast and lunch each day will be prepared in camp and lunch will be eaten during the trek. On the first and last days we will prepare lunch in a local Caboclo home.

Note: rainforest trekking is not "a walk in the park", it requires adequate physical conditioning. In the rainforest it can be hot, sticky and humid during the day and, depending on the session, the temperature at night can drop to 20 degrees Celsius.

Our jungle guides are professional and experienced. On tour they will be working to show travellers medical plants and spot wildlife.
