The Andean Triangle I to Peru(12 Days/11 Nights)

Day 1: Santiago de Chile
Arrival at Santiago airport and transfer to the hotel. City tour in the afternoon.

Day 2: Santiago – Calama – San Pedro de Atacama
Transfer to the airport to board our connecting flight to Calama from where we will leave to San Pedro. In the afternoon we will enjoy the eerily silent moonscape of Valle de la Luna. (B)

Day 3: San Pedro de Atacama & Atacama Salt Lake
After a guided visit to the village of San Pedro, Pukara de Quitor and Tulor, we will continue to the impressive Atacama Salt Lake, an inland sea, formed millions of years ago. (B)

Day 4: San Pedro de Atacama – El Tatio Geysers – Caspana – Lasana – Chiu Chiu – Antofagasta
Early start of the day (4.00 am) to see the famous El Tatio Geysers, a geothermal field situated at 4.320 m / 14.173 ft above sea level, after which we will continue with visits of the villages of Caspana, Lasana and Chiu Chiu. We will be dropped off at the airport of Calama for our flight to Antofagasta, where we will spend the night. (B, BL)

Day 5: Antofagasta – Arica – Lauca National Park – Putre
A flight to Arica and a transfer will bring us to the picturesque village of Putre located at 3.500 m / 11.483 ft above sea level. After another scenic drive we reach the Lauca National Park and the Lake Chúngara (4.600 m), set against a stunning backdrop of snow-capped volcanoes. Overnight in Putre. (B, BL, D)

Day 6: Putre – La Paz:
Public bus to La Paz, crossing the Tambo Quemado border post. Overnight in La Paz (B, BL)

Day 7: La Paz – Isla Del Sol
After a half day City tour of La Paz, we will continue our trip to the Titicaca Lake, from where a motorboat will take us to the Sun Island where we will spend the night. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Isla Del Sol – Puno
We will have the chance to see the Moon Island, visit the Sun Virgins Temple “Iñak Uyu” and admire the beautiful white church at Copacabana, before crossing our last border to Peru. We will spend the night in the town of Puno. (B, L)

Day 9: Puno – Cusco
Today we will be enjoying a beautiful scenic drive to Cuzco, stopping on the way at the ruins of Pukara, Sicuani, Viracocha, and Andahuaylillas, also called the "Sixtine Chapel of America". After a long day we arrive at the reach the rich valley and city of Cusco. (B, L)

Day 10: Cusco
We will have this morning at leisure to wander around the narrow streets of Cusco, a pleasant and absolutely beautiful colonial city in the heart of the Andes. A city tour in the afternoon will teach us about the Art of the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo Convent and we will learn about the Puca Pucara and the aqueducts of Tambomachay. (B)

Day 11: Machu Picchu
The highlight of the Sacred Valley is of course the Sacred city of Machu Picchu. We´ll be travelling by train today, leaving early morning and enjoy a guided tour at the Machu Picchu. We will have lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. Overnight in Cusco (B, L)

Day 12: Cusco – Lima
A morning flight will take us to Lima, followed by a city tour of the capitals past and present. Drop off at the airport to continue travels. (B, L)

Andean Triangle II to Argentina (13 Days/ 12 Nights)

Day 1: Santiago de Chile
Arrival at Santiago airport, transfer to the hotel and city tour in the afternoon.Overnight in Santiago.

Day 2. Santiago – Calama – San Pedro and the Moon valley
Transfer from the airport of Calama to the colourful village of San Pedro de Atacama. In the the afternoon we will drive to the Moon Valley. At sunset we can see how the light intensifies the impression of a moonscape. Overnight in San Pedro. (B)

Day 3: San Pedro, Toconao and the Atacama Salt Lake
We will visit the town and surrounding area of San Pedro with its colonial church (1577), the village of Tulor and the fortress of Pukara. Toconao is famous for its whitewashed volcanic houses and sculptures. In the Atacama Salt Lake we will lose sense of space and time; the salt flat is simply overwhelming... (B)

Day 4: El Tatio and Machuca
Early departure to witness a spectacular scenery at the El Tatio Geysers at an altitude of 4.300 m / 14.108 ft. On the way back to San Pedro we will visit the ancient and traditional village of Machuca, located on the “Inca High-way”. (B, BL)

Day 5: San Pedro – Ojo de Perdiz
At the international pass of Hito Cajón we will cross the Bolivian border and visit the Laguna Verde, a green lagoon displaying wonderful emerald colours. On the route to the Laguna Colorada, we come across the Laguna Blanca, Polques hot springs, the Geyser Sol de Mañana and hundreds of flamingos. Dinner and overnight in Ojo de Perdiz (L, D)

Day 6: Uyuni Salt Flats
Today you will start your trip to the amazing Uyuni Salt Lake, passing mountain areas with high erosion and further to the north San Augustín. On our way to our resting place for the night, we will pass by the Hedionda and Cache lagoons as well as the Incahuasi Island. Enjoy the Sunset!! Overnight in Tahua. (B, L, D)

Day 7. Tahua – Tupiza
Today we will travel to the city of Tupiza, allegedly one of the oldest cities of Bolivia, where we will spend the night. (B, L)

Day 8: Tupiza – La Quiaca – Purmamarca
Today we will be continuing our trip into Argentina, passing through the Quebrada or Canyon of Humahuaca, visiting the traditional colonial towns of Tilcara and Humahuaca. Purmamarca is located at the foot of the Seven Colours Hill. (B)

Day 9: Purmamarca – Salta
After a guided visit of Purmamarca, we will continue our trip south towards the colonial city of Salta; the Spanish influences are all around us visible in architecture and the typical chess board organization of the city. We will end our city tour at the Bernardo Hill, from where we have a beautiful view of the Valle de Lerma. (B, L)

Day 10: Salta – Cafayate
The road to Cafayate, through the Valley of Lerma and the Quebrada de las Conchas (the Gorge of the Shells) is absolutely magnificent! We will continue on to the ruins of the ancient human settlement of the Quilmes, before returning to Cafayate, famous for its microclimate allowing the production of the delicious Torrontés wine. Day 11: Cafayate – Cachi – Salta
Through the extraordinary Quebrada de las Flechas Gorge, passing through the small villages of Molinos and San Carlos, we will reach the old picturesque Village of Cachi, located at 2.280 m / 7.300 ft above sea level. After a visit of the centre, we continue our trip back to Salta, traversing the National Park Los Cardones. (B)

Day12: Salta – Buenos Aires
We will leave the beautiful Northeast behind us and immerse ourselves in city pleasures. Buenos Aires is not only a beautiful city, it is also the exciting capital of Argentina. We will go on a city tour in the afternoon, seeing all the highlights the capital has to offer and our last night we will spend enjoying a marvellous Tango & Dinner show! (B, D)

Day 13: Buenos Aires
At the appropriate hour you will be taken to the airport and assisted as you board your international flight. (B)
