Antarctic Dream Guest Lecturers

Kike Calvo will be joining The Antarctic Dream on the November 7th departure.
He is an award-winning photographer and bilingual journalist, extensively published, specializing in environmental, cultural & marine documentary editorial and personal work internationally exhibited and collected.

Clients and collaborations include New York Times, National Geographic Viajes, UNICEF, United Nations, UNDP, UN Water, WWF, Disney-Hachette, Natural History Mag., NBC, New York Daily News, ESPN, TVE, AOL, E! among others.

Solo exhibitis in New York, Chicago, Manila -Philippines, Moscow, Phoenix, Fort Lauderdale & Zaragoza (Spain). Founder & Director of the International photo agency represen-ting a selection of the world´s best natural histo-ry, wildlife, travel and underwater photograp-hers.
Kike will teach a basic digital photography course aboard the ship for the passengers of the Antarctic Dream.

Dragos Bratasanu, a research engineer with the Romanian Space Agency and a professional photographer from Bucharest Romania, is joining Antarctic Dream Voyage of 17 NOV, 2009.
Mr Bratasanu is working on a project - a photography book with the polar regions and interviews with Arctic and Antarctic scientific and social researchers regarding the global warming in order to inform the public of the reasons, effects and future consequences of our actions regarding the environment and its near-future evolution.

The list of clients that he has worked for as a professional photographer includes: The Royal Embassy of Norway in Romania, the Embassy of Romania in Slovenia, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Romania and The Finnish Consulate in Romania

Tim Roberts & Mike Clegg will Travel with the Antarctic Dream on 07 DEC, 2009

Tim Roberts has travelled to 46 countries from all corners of the gloobe, and he is the Editorial and Commercial Director of the book. In the other hand, Mike Clegg is the Design Director, having working for the BAR Honda formula 1 Team, Sony Playsta-tion and Toyota. They will share their experiencies and travels with the passenger of the Antarctic Dream, don’t forget!

Dr. Steve Running, co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize and one of the leading authors of the fourth assessment report issued by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), will be onboard the Antarctic Dream’s JAN 17, 2010 departure.
Running has worked for the University of Montana since 1979 and is the director of the College of Forestry and Conservation’s Numerical Terradynamic Simulation Group, which has crafted software for NASA environ-mental satellites such as Terra and Aqua. He also travels extensively to speak with groups across the USA about climate change, as one of the nation’s foremost experts. He will be offering lectures and presentations for Antarctic Dream passen-gers about global warming and other topics related to climate change. This is an important issue for many industries worldwide as they pursue goals of de-carbonized energy, improved efficiency and conservation, and we are very excited about his presence onboard our Ship.
