Backpacker Trips - 10 and 15 days

10 Days

Day 1: Reception in the international airport of Ezeiza and private transfer to 3* Hotel in Buenos Aires (very well located).

Day 2: Breakfast. City tour visiting the best of Buenos Aires. Afternoon at leisure. Night in 3* Hotel.

Day 3: Breakfast. Transfer to local airport. Reception in Calafate and transfer to the hotel / hosterìa / hostel. Night.

Day 4: Breakfast. Half day excursion to the Perito Moreno Glaciar. In the sunset, beer in a lounge bar with a great view of Lake Argentino. Night.

Day 5: Breakfast. Morning bus to El Chalten ( trekking village 4 1/2 hours north fromEl Chalten. El Chalten is the best place in Argentina for trekking. It is at the foot of the mythic Fitz Roy Mt and the Torre Mt.). Night in a beautifull mountain hostel (with shared rooms).

Day 6: Day at leisure to do some trekkings in the area ( There is no need of a guide to do the conventional trekkings. We recomend the trekking to the base of the Fitz Roy Mount ). Night in the hostel.

Day 7: Day at leisure ( we recomend the normal trekking to the Torre Glaciar or the excusion of the trekking in the glaciar Torre ). Bus back to Calafate at 18 hs. Night in Calafate.

Day 8: Breakfast. Day at leisure to do extra excursions (we highly recomend the navigation in the Lake Argentino towards the Upsala and Onelli Glaciars). Night.

Day 9: Morning transfer to the limit with Chile and then continue a full day visit to the famous Torres del Paine National Park (visiting the different corners of the park. Box lunch is included). This day finishes in the evening in the town of Puerto Natales ( fishing village by the shores of the Last Hope Sound, Pacific Ocean ). Night in Puerto Natales.

Day 10: Breakfast. Morning bus back to Calafate (aprox 5 hours) to take the flight back to....

15 Days

Day 1: Reception in Buenos Aires and transfer to a 3* hotel. Night.

Day 9: Breakfast. Bus south to Punta Arenas ( Aprox 3 hours. Depending on the time of the year, it is possible to arrange an excursion to visit the penguin reserve of Seno Otway ). Night in Punta Arenas.

Day 10: Breakfast. Morning bus to Ushuaia (this fascinating bus ride, crosses the Magallanes Straigt with a ferry and also crosses all the Island of Tierra del Fuego. This is aprox. a 13 hour bus ride and finishes in the city of Ushuaia, also known as "The City of the End of the World" ). Night in Ushuaia.

Day 11: Breakfast. Full day visit to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, trekking by the shores of the Beagle Channel off the beaten track and with a canoeing excursion in the channel (lunch is included). Night in Ushuaia.

Day 12: Breakfast. Half day navigation in the Beagle Channel. Afternoon at leisure. Night.

Day 13: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take flight to Buenos Aires. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Night.

Day 14: Breakfast. Day at leisure to visit the city ( we can help the travellers to organize a bike city tour, a walking tour, tango shows, days at an Estancia, real night tango saloons, going to see an argentinian football match, etc ). Night.

Day 15: Breakfast. Transfer to the international airport to take flight back.

* Accomodation is a very important issue in our programmes, that`s why we use the best hostels in each town. In the case of tourist class accomodation, this places are specially selected and we make special focus on that they should be well located. They should be clean. They are always picturesque places. Usually familiar places, not big hotels. Very warm and charming.
