Immersed in a 400 hectare jungle and situated
on the Coast of the Parana river, 30Km far away from the Iguazú
Airport, you may find Posada Puerto Bemberg, presently managed by its
owners. The Posada came back to life after a remodeling carried out by
the third generation of owners, since 1924, a place filled with history.
The restructuring and expansion was carried out always keeping the original
style and adding comfort. Recycled wood was mainly used for the decoration,
taking always into account the conservation of the environment. Biodegradable
cleaning products are used and guests are invited to use amenities that
dont harm the environment.
We have a new program that allows you to
organize the trips of those passengers visiting the Iguazú area.
Enjoying the jungle in an exclusive environment, with personalized attention,
as well as touring the Iguazu falls is an exceptional opportunity!
On the property a project based on the recovery
of the Jungle ecosystem is being carried out by the Posada and joint efforts
of Aves Argentinas and the Conservation of the North East Unit of National
Parks. The posada also hosts a Nursery of Native Plants now turning into
the leader producer of the area; and an organic vegetable garden of which
Puerto Bemberg provides itself to make excellent dishes. The kitchen may
be defined as typical Mesopotamian food. The head Chef Josefina Hoffmann
wished to mix regional products with an international cuisine. An exclusive
wine cellar with 1200 bottles of more that 80 different labels make sure
that meals are perfectly well combined.
Focus has not only been put on the natural
side, but also on the integration of the inhabitants of Puerto Libertad,
neighboring town. Most of the Hosteria´s staff is native from this
town and was selected and trained to achieve an excellent service with
a different style.
Emilio White, great specialist in birds and
guide of Puerto Bemberg, introduces guests to the secrets of the Jungle.
Awakening an interest to get to know more about the marvelous balance
in this particular ecosystem, where every little thing is right where
it should be. He guides them through paths that go into the Jungle, to
watch a great variety of birds, such as the charismatic orange dancer,
known because of it particular dance. They can learn to pay attention
to the different bird songs, so as to distinguish them in the middle of
the jungle, were many birds camouflage between the dense foliage. A really
moving experience!
They
can also navigate through the Paraná river on board of the Hosteria´s
boat, having access to different waterfalls. During the ride, depending
on the rivers height they will be able to enjoy various sandy beaches
and bathing in the waterfalls. When the river descends, guests may enjoy
the late afternoons on the river beaches.
Ride a bicycle to an Amethyst mine, 7 Km
from Bemberg, is another of the attractions. Many mines are found throughout
the river, exploited to extract amethyst. The most popular ones are located
in the Wanda area, only 10 Km away from the Posada.
Finally, they can also spend the late afternoon
in the swimming pool or in the viewpoint, listening to the sounds of nature.
A great ending for a day full of experiences.
