Brazil Trekking Adventure

Day 01: Arrival in Rio de Janeiro and transfer to Orla Copa Hotel. Afternoon tour Corcovado - The Christ Redeemer and Tijuca Forest By Jeep. The tour begins at the hotel's front entrance, rides along the shores of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas onto the highlands of the Tijuca National Park where in Corcovado Hill is locate. All along the ascent, magnificent shots of Rio are available from every possible angle, before reaching the Monument to Christ the Redeemer at 2,300 ft. After the visit, the tour continues through the forest to the Park's Headquarters with more attractions such as Taunay Fall and the Mayrink Chapel. On the way back, more spectacular views of Rio all the way down to São Conrado Beach, the handglider's landing grounds, and the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. In the evening dinner at Local Restaurant.

Day 02: breakfast, then Full Day Tour Hiking and Climbing at Sugar Loaf Mountain. Reach the top of Rio's most famous postal card. In the company of our guides, you will taste a beautiful hike with a little climbing for beginners. Watch the landscape of Guanabara Bay and Copacabana beach from above. In the evening dinner at Mariu's Carnes Barbecue.

Day 03: Transfer to the airport this morning and fly to Manaus. Arrival at Manaus Airport and memediate transfer to Tropical Hotel. Departure from Tropical Hotel at 09:00 AM. Visit to Amazonas Theater, inaugurated on 1896, and with no doubt one of the most important touristy points of Manaus. Symbol of the Rubber Boom, all of its richness and grandiosity of that time are still transmitted through its corridors, halls with works of art. Following, there is a brief stop in front of the Rio Negro Palace, former Official Site of the State Government and a beauty example of Architecture of the Golden Rubber Era (1890-1910), sightseeing also the popular houses built on stilts (palafitas), close to a small river (igarapé). Visit to the Indian Museum, organized by Sallesians Sorority Congregation, the best place to understand the traditions, way of life and habits of Upper Rio Negro Indians Populations. Visit to Municipal Market "Adolpho Lisboa", from where it can be seen the Floating Harbor. Return to Hotel around 12:30 PM. Leaving from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM and arriving at 12:30 AM. *Sundays and Holidays Museums and Theater are closed

Day 04: Departure from your hotel in Manaus at 7:00 am. The trip takes three hours via speed boat, van and speed boat again. During your trip you might encounter some pink dolphins on the way. Enjoy your first contact with the jungle and observe the giant water lily, the majestic trees (Brazil Nuts and Sumaumas), the birds and the local communities. At Juma Lodge a welcome drink prepared with exotics fruits awaits you. Lunch, a creative fusion between international and Amazon cuisine is then served. The afternoon activity is a reconnaissance tour through the igarapés (Amazonian creeks) and the igapós (flooded forest) in motorized canoes. Return to the Juma Lodge. At night, go out in a canoe ride to observe the night fauna and meet alligators, frogs and birds. Stay alert to the mysterious sounds of the forest and the starry sky.

Day 05: Breakfast with typical fruits and regional food. Leave for a jungle hike. Once inside the Amazon forest feel its charm and greatness. All tours are led by a lodge guide with great knowledge of the area. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon we will go out fishing and learn more about the indigenous species of the Amazon (piranha, peacock bass). While enjoying the sunset, return to Juma, observing the Capped Herons and the Cormorant transform the landscape into an amazing show. Dinner will be complemented by the fish you caught earlier, cooked the Amazon way.

Day 06: Early in the morning we will leave for a sunrise excursion, witnessing the transformation of the dark water of the Juma River into a mirror of the sights and sounds of the waking birds leaving their nests for another day. Breakfast. Return to Manaus. On the way back see a Sumaúma, the largest tree of the Amazon. Another important stop to see the meeting of the waters, the spot where the muddy waters of the Solimões River and the black waters of the Negro River run side by side, without mixing, to form the great Amazonas River. By request, the guide will take you to a dive spot, where you can feel for yourself the 8o C (14 o F) difference in temperature between the two rivers. A truly unique experience. Arrive at 11:30 a.m. at the airport or at your hotel in Manaus. Drop off at airport to pick up flight to Salvador. Arrival in Salvador and transfer to Blue Tree Towers hotel. Dinner at hotel.

Day 07: Morning departure to Lençóis. Arrival in Lençóis and check-in at the pousada. Afternoon light trekking to the natural pools of Serrano River. From there, it's a short walk to the nearby caves where ancient rock is disintegrating into fine multi-colored sand. A refreshing swim in the Pool at the base of the Primavera waterfall completes this afternoon trip. Lunch and dinner included

Day 08: F/D tour taking in the most important sights and sites of the Chapada Diamantina including: the stunning stalagmites and stalactites of the mysterious Lapa Doce cave; the crystal clear water of the Pratinha subterranean lake and Pai Inácio Mountain for the definitive panoramic view of the Chapada region and the best sunset in the region.Lunch included. Overnight at hotel Portal.

Day 09: Full day with lunch box to visit caves, Pai Inacio and Poço do Diabo. Dinner free. Overnight at hotel Portal

Day 10: Transfer back to Salvador. Arrive at 06:00 p.m. drop off at hotel. Check In at Blue Tree Towers hotel in Salvador. Tonight features "Bahia By Night", an excursion that takes us to Solar do Unhão, one of Salvador's oldest and most atmospheric buildings, originally used for the importation of slaves. Enjoy a full buffet of the exotic cuisine of Bahia and a dazzling folklore show of Bahian music and dance.

Day 11: Morning Historical City Tour passing by Porto da Barra (historical mark of the foundation of the city), Barra Slope, Vitória Church and Square, Carlos Costa Pinto Museum, July 2nd Square, Castro Alves Theatre, São Pedro Fort, Our Lady of Mercy Church, Rosary Church, São Bento Monastery, Castro Alves Square, D'Ajuda Church, Cathedral Square, Voodoo House (Terreiro de Jesus), Basilica Cathedral, San Francisco Church, Pelourinho Square, Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Carmo Slope, Third Order of Carmo Church, Carmo Church, Carmo Museum including lunch at local restaurant. Transfer to Airport to board your international flight.
