Sea Kayaking in the Golfo Dulce - 9 days / 8 nights

Day 1 - Upon arrival at the airport, you will be assisted inside the terminal. Then transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in San José. Country Inn & Suites

Day 2 - (B) Morning transfer to the San José Local Airport, from there you will take the flight to Puerto Jiménez. Upon arrival in Puerto Jiménez transfer to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure to explore the surroundings. Cabinas Jiménez

Day 3 (L, D) Day activities:
Welcome and tour instructions.
Paddle from Las Gaviotas in Puerto Jimenez to Rio Conte 18 km. Then from the beach will paddle up Rio Conte about 500 meters and walk to the overnight point. An assistance boat will follow the group (at a considerable distance) this boat carries all the gear and luggage. Centro de Cultura Shelter

Day 4 - (B, L, D) Day activities:
Mountain-bike ride to Playa Blanca, the trail goes trough jungle and secondary forest the total ride is 8 km. On the route there will be stops for wild life observation. (Is part flat, part mountain) Playa Blanca is a calm beach, afternoon at leisure to relax and swim before dinner. Playa Blanca Campsite

Day 5 - (B,L, D) Day activities:
Breakfast in Playa Blanca.
Paddle from Playa Blanca to Playitas (Mogos).
Several beach activities with coconut and other natural resources to prepare dinner. Playitas Campsite

Day 6 (B, L, D) Day activities:
Los Mogos is a fantastic bay, there are three small islands and a reef in between. There is a lot to explore. Playitas Campsite
Snorkeling
Island Exploration.
Fishing (with hand lines, local style)
Other beach activities.

Day 7 - (B, L, D) Day activities:
Paddle from Playitas to Finca Saladero.
The assistance boat takes the camping gear and luggage to the campsite (2 kilometers away from Esquinas river mouth). The kayakers paddle up the river (about 3 hours, depending on the tides). This day you will explore part of the Piedras Blancas National Park. After the River exploration the group paddles out and to Saladero. Is possible to swim, snorkel, fish, etc. in the evening. Day 8 - (B, L, D) Day activities:
After breakfast, there will be a hike in a mountain trail, in Finca Saladero.
Paddle from Saladero to San Jocesito.
There is also chance for several activities in the afternoon at San Josecito, this beach has the best view of the sunset in the gulf.

Day 9 - (B,L) Day activities:
Paddle across Golfo Dulce, from San Josecito to Puerto Jimenez (4 hours with some stops)
The group ends the journey back to our base, there they have a chance to shower, dress and relax before our final lunch together.
Transportation to the hotel in Puerto Jiménez and rest of the afternoon at leisure. Cabinas Jiménez

Day 10 - Private transfer from the hotel to the Puerto Jiménez Airstrip, from there you will take the flight back to San José. Upon arrival private transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Country Inn & Suites

Day 11 - (B) Private transfer to the San José International Airport

The program includes:

Notes:
* Private Transfers Alternative: A private driver will pick up the clients directly at the hotel and will take them to the next destination. The schedules can be flexible (unless they have to connect with other transfers or be in a certain place at a specific moment) and they do not have to wait for other clients, since this is a private service.
