Day 1: Quito or Guayaquil

Quito colonial city tour exploring the bustling streets and squares of
the largest historical old town in the Americas. Visit some of its most
important churches such as the majestic La Compañía and
iconic San Francisco, repositories of a stunning multi-ethnic artistic
and cultural heritage.

Guayaquil city tour: visit to the 19th-century neighborhood of Las Peñas,
panoramic views of the city and the Guayas River, the boardwalk of Malecón

Day 3: Monday - Galapagos (Baltra Airport)
Departure from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra (2 and half flight). Passengers
are picked up at the airport by our guides and taken to the pier to board
the M/V Galapagos Legend.
North Seymour
Dry landing. Guests wil encounter swallow tailed gulls and sea lions.
This site is a major nesting colony of blue footed boobies, and has the
largest colony of the magnificent frigate bird. Travellers will also spot
both the marine iguanas and land iguanas.
Day 4: Tuesday - Santa Cruz (Dragon Hill)
Dry landing. Passengers walk to a saltwater lagoon behind the beach, where
on occasion many pink flamingos can be observed. This trail leads up to
Dragon Hill, which offers a lovely view of the bay. This is a nesting
site for reintroduced land iguanas, and there is also a Holy Stick Forest.
Floreana (Cormorant Point)
Wet landing on a greenish colored sand beach. Visitors will hike from
the black mangrove beds to a large, brackish lagoon, which holds one of
the biggest flamingo populations in the Galapagos. This island features
endemic plants such as Scalesia villosa, Galapagos daisies, white and
black mangrove, and holy stick.
Novice snorkelers can practice on the main beach with the playful sea
lions. Please keep in mind this is an open-water activity; there is nothing
to step on.
Day 5: Wednesday - Española (Suárez
Point)
Dry landing. Visitors will learn more about the lava terrain and cross
the inactive lava fields.
Besides the sea lion colonies, this is a very important site for bird
watching. Various bird species such as the mockingbird of Española,
Nazca booby and tropic bird can be spotted and observed from very close.
You will also see a large colony of marine iguanas, lava lizards, and
rally light foot crabs.
After a short trek visitors encounter colonies of Nazca and blue-footed
boobies. The nesting grounds sometimes overlap the trail. Visitors will
also find Galapagos doves, hawks and swallow-tailed gulls and then reach
the world's largest colony of waved albatross.
A major highlight is their mating season, from May through December. You'll
visit the famous blowhole, where water shoots into the air about 23 m
(75 ft).
San Cristóbal (Interpretation Center or La Galapaguera)
Dry landing at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Passengers will visit San Cristóbal
breeding center and learn about the National Park's breeding program with
the giant tortoises.
Passengers will observe some animals in their natural environment.
Passengers will also have the opportunity to the visit the town and go
shopping for souvenirs and arts and crafts.
Day 6: Thursday - Santa Cruz (Carrión
Point)
Today, passengers can choose either a ride in an outboard motorboat to
observe the Galapagos fur seal, seabirds and marine wildlife or go snorkeling
to see a variety of tropical fish, manta rays or even harmless white-tipped
reef sharks. Return to the Galapagos Legend, check-out and transfer to
the airport. Return flight to Quito or Guayaquil.

The Chaski Antawa Train (messenger
train) runs on the railway built at the beginning of the 20th century
connecting the northern highlands to the tropical coast. From Ibarra,
the train climbs down to the warm, dry valley of Ambuqui, through sugarcane
plantations, magical landscapes, and tunnels and crossing bridges that
span deep canyons and gullies. Enjoy a unique lunch at the community restaurant

Valley of Salinas and its surrounding area become a tourist destination

lions. Please keep in mind this is an open-water activity; there is nothing

Towards the south, visit Ecuador's first National Park Cotopaxi, home
to the highest active volcano on Earth. You can explore the Andean moorlands
with numerous species of highland birds, or hike up to the snow line 15,800

to the Amazon.
Day 10 Baños-Ingapirca-Cuenca:
Start your day with a drive through some of the most picturesque indigenous
areas of the country. Continuing south we visit Ingapirca ruins before
arrive to Cuenca for overnight.Hotel accommodation
Day 11 Cuenca - El Cajas-Guayaquil:
Visit the prettiest colonial city in the country. After breakfast let
its cobblestone streets, graceful wrought-iron balconies, and flowered
plazas captivate you. Its market places and handicrafts are living testimony
to the region s rich indigenous and artisan heritage. City panoramic overview,
head to the Turi viewpoint. After enjoying this outstanding view, later
visit a Panama hat factory.
Departure to the coast, passing through El Cajas National Park. This area
is known for its beautiful landscapes with at least 200 lagoons, like
the famous La Toreadora, this path takes you from 4000 mts. to the sea
level in 3 hours, making it possible to observe the different habitats
in Ecuador, the moorlands, the Andean forest, the subtropical forest,

You will enjoy the delicious "tunas" and the famous sugar cane juice and learn about its many uses in the valley of El Chota. Enjoy lunch at the Chaski Antawa restaurant. Day 4: We reach the Papallacta Hot Springs complex, located in the high moorlands of the last range of mountains before the Amazon Region. The hot springs swimming pools and baths can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. After a bath, take advantage of a relaxing massage in the exclusive spa. This amazing place offers excellent opportunities to walk, observe birds, horseback ride or simply enjoy the landscape, featuringthe Polylepis tree (paper bark tree) with its unusually textured bark. Day 5: Papallacta - Antisana. Drive to Antisana Ecological Reserve. Antisana is the fourth-highest volcano in Ecuador, rising to 18,875 feet (5,753 meters). While exploring the area, make your way past a gigantic and relatively recent lava flow and a series of cliffs where condors spend the night. Discover the virgin wilds around Lake Mica; observe the rich variety of flora and stunning landscapes fed by the snowy peaks above. Drive to Lasso. Cotopaxi Volcano sightseeing. Accomodations at a local inn.
Day 6: Lasso - Quilotoa - Baños. Visit the region of Tigua, home of naif paintings on lamb hide and figurines carved in wood (wood masks) that depict the animals of the region's traditional folk festivities. Visit Zumbahua, an indigenous community famous for its handicrafts and beautiful colorful ponchos. Opportunity for visitors to share time with its people and to enjoy an impressive Andean landscape while observing native Andean animals such as llamas. Visit Quilotoa Crater and its volcanic lake, turquoise and green waters surrounded by mountains full of ancient tales. Box lunch and drive to Baños.
Day 7: Baños - Riobamba. Continuing southeast, you will arrive at Baños which is the gateway to the Amazon region. Observation of waterfalls and the devil's cauldron. In the afternoon, arrival at Riobamba. Panoramic tour of the city. Accommodations.
Day 8: Riobamba - Alausí - Ingapirca - Cuenca. Start your day with a drive through some of the most picturesque indigenous areas of the country, before reaching the Alausí train station. Train ride experience on a railway through the Andes where there is a unique zig-zag portion called the Devil's Nose. Box lunch. Farther south we will visit the Inca ruins of Ingapirca before reaching Cuenca for the night.
Day 9: Cuenca. Visit the country's prettiest colonial city. After breakfast let its cobblestone streets, graceful wrought-iron balconies, and flowered plazas captivate you. Visit the Central Bank Museum, which has permanent archaeological, ethnographic, colonial and republican art collections, as well as old photographs of Cuenca. After this visit, we'll go to the Conceptas Monastery. The cloister, built between 1682 and 1729, was recently restored. The cloister contains an unusual collection of religious art. Visiting a straw-hat export enterprise is scheduled in the afternoon. Accommodations in Cuenca.
Day 10: Cuenca - El Cajas - Guayaquil.
Departure to the coast, passing through El Cajas National Park. This area
is known for its beautiful landscapes and at least 200 lakes, like the
famous La Toreadora- This ride takes you from 4,000 mts to sea level in
three hours, allowing you to observe Ecuador's different habitats, the
moorlands, the Andean forest, the subtropical forest, and the rainforest.
Guayaquil, "Pearl of the Pacific". The tour begins with a visit
to the 19th-century neighborhood of Las Peñas, topped by the Santa
Ana Hill with its lighthouse and panoramic views of the city and the Guayas
River. Walk by the beautiful Malecón 2000, past La Rotonda monument
paying tribute to the heroes of the South American liberation, along the
banks of the Guayas River and 9 de Octubre Avenue.
Day 11: Transfer out Guayaquil.
