Fascinating Eastern Venezuela

This fascinating tour covers eastern Venezuela. The starting point is the quiet, picturesque city of Ciudad Bolívar. From there, you will fly to the Canaima National Park and visit Venezuela´s highlight, Salto Angel, the highest waterfall in the world. Your journey continues to the Orinoco Delta, a vast river delta with a diverse flora and fauna along its various distributaries. A visit of the Paria Peninsula and its wonderful beaches is the perfect ending to your vacation. Individual tour

Day 1: Caracas-Ciudad Bolívar
Flight from Caracas to Ciudad Bolivar. Transfer to the charming Posada Angostura, located in historic quarter of the city.

Day 2: Ciudad Bolívar – Canaima – Angel Falls (B/L/D)
Flight from Ciudad Bolívar to Canaima in a small Cessna. Upon arriving in Canaima, you will take a trip on dugout canoe along the Carrao River, slowly reaching the majestic Auyan Tepui, a unique experience! You will continue upstream along the Churun River up to Ratoncito Island, where you will disembark and hike through dense rainforest for an hour until reaching the foot of the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls. Overnight in hammocks at a rustic camp near Ratoncito Island.

Day 3: Canaima (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will return to Canaima on the dugout canoe. Excursion to Salto Sapo or Salto Hacha and overnight in Tapuy Lodge located on the shores of the Canaima Lagoon.

Day 4: Canaima – Ciudad Bolívar (B)
Morning at leisure to either relax or go on optional tours. Noon flight back to Ciudad Bolívar and overnight in Posada Angostura.

Day 5: Ciudad Bolívar - Delta Lodge (B/L/D)
Today, you will continue to Boca de Uracoa, and embark on a boat to travel upstream to the jungle lodge, where you will spend the next two nights. In the afternoon, you will go on a boat trip to observe the local flora and fauna.

Day 6: Excursion (B/L/D)
You will visit a Warao Indian community living in stilt huts along the river, where you will learn about their customs and traditions. Today’s acitivities include a jungle walk and fishing.

Day 7: Delta - Paria (B)
Boat ride back to Boca de Uracoa. Your journey will continue to the Paria Peninsula, famous for its wonderful beaches. Overnight in Playa de Uva

Day 8: Excursion Playa Medina and Río Caribe (B/L/D)
Today you will visit one of the most beautiful beaches in Venezuela, Playa Medina. In the evening, you will visit Río Caribe and have dinner at the colonial Posada Caribana.

Day 9: Cacao plantation and thermal springs (B/L/D)
Today, you will visit the Bukare Cocoa Plantation to observe the production of cocoa. Afterwards, a relaxing visit of the Agua Sana Thermal Springs will crown this interesting day.

Day 10: Transfer to the airport (B)
Transfer to the airport and flight to Caracas.

Daily departures from June-December with minimum of 2 people.
