Juma Lodge

The Juma Lodge, far to the south of Manaus, was designed to be total integrated to the jungle. The construction and operation of the lodge comply with a respect of the limitations of the environment, which is the very reason for the hotel to exist. All materials used in the construction are plentiful in the area. The Lodge was built on sold ground and is supported on stilts. This type of construction is necessary due to the flood season, when the river water level rises up to 20meters (66 feet).

Despite this environmental concern, the lodge has excellent facilities for being deep in the jungle and has 11 comfortable standard rooms facing the jungle equipped with veranda, hammock, fan and private bathroom. It also has 3 new rooms 15 meters up in the treetops overlooking the lake in a secluded area. The restaurant specializes in international and local cuisine and has a dazzling view of the lake. The communion of the lodge with nature is evident by the constant presence of monkeys, toucans and macaws.

We had a great time - the lodge was wonderful. We had a fantastic guide and enjoyed all of our excursions. Thank you for your help in arranging everything. - Lyle
