Experience the contrasts of Costa Rica as you drive from high mountains to a tropical beach
Day
1 - Arrival in San José. Meet and greet
at the airport and transfer to the hotel Fleur de Lys.
Day 2 - (B, L, D) After breakfast you will pick up the rental car at your hotel for the trip to Savegre Lodge, nestled in the highlands of San Gerardo de Dota, about 3 hr drive from San José. Free afternoon to explore the area on your own.
Day 3 - (B, L, D) Free day for optional
activities. We highly recommend the birding tour in the nearby cloud forest
reserve, home of the quetzal, considered the most beautiful bird
on earth.
Day
4 - (B) After breakfast, check out from Savegre Lodge and drive about
4 hours to Manuel Antonio National Park. Today’s drive will
take you through a scenic mountain road down to a beautiful tropical beach
on the Central Pacific coast. On the way to Manuel Antonio you will pass
by San Isidro del General and Dominical beach. Overnight at Casitas Eclipse
hotel.
Day 5-6 - (B) Days at leisure at the
Manuel Antonio National Park area. Optional tours such rafting trips
and guided walks are suggested.
Day 7 - (B) After breakfast, check
out from Casitas Eclipse Hotel and drive back to San José (about
4 
hours).
Check in at Fleur de Lys Hotel.
Day 8 (B) Drive to the airport and drop off car rental.
