Patagonia Riverside Camp
Located along the Rio Serrano River near Torres del Paine National Park, the new Riverside Camp is away from the other camps and refugios, so you can enjoy nature away from the crowds.
The camp was built with a clear focus on sustainability, implementing circular economy principles, pioneering the use of recycled plastic (from the Magallanes Region) in Chilean construction, and adopted the “zero waste” philosophy in their kitchen. This marks the beginning of their ongoing innovation and long-term commitment to offering visitors a unique experience in this untamed corner of the world. There are many beautiful places to explore and activities to enjoy near the Riverside camp. From the camp, you can admire The Paine Grande (3,050 meters), the highest mountain in the park, while the iconic Horns feature a distinctive formation often confused with the towers. The colors reflecting in the sunrise and sunset with shades of orange and pink are truly captivating. Each of the 10 tents is set upon a platform constructed from plastic waste collected in the Magallanes region. With a total of 20 tons of waste, they produced 2860 eco-wood boards, used for pathways connecting each dome and some furniture within the camp. Furthermore, they aim to extend the life of all organic waste from the camp by dehydrating them into spices for tea and seasonings for meals. This approach allows them to reduce their environmental impact and move towards a “zero waste” concept. Their chef creates delicious and hearty meals using locally sourced products. Buffet breakfasts, personalized takeaway lunches, and three-course dinners (appetizer, main course, and dessert) provide a nutritious and energy-rich combination to fuel your adventures. Enjoy Patagonian beer, Chilean wine, and pisco sour for the perfect end to a day of travel
