The Napo Cultural Center is a community tourism project managed and operated 100% by the Añangu, an ancestral Amazonian culture. Yasuní means "sacred land" and symbolizes the abundance of life on earth. It is the most biodiverse ecosystem on the planet.

Thanks to the commitment of the Añangu Community, the lodge is open. They have developed a Biosafety and Sanitary Measures Protocol, which adheres to the guidelines of the World Travel and Tourism Council. Within the requirements of the Ministry of the Environment and the National Emergency Operations Committee (COE), everyone wanting to come to the Yasuní National Park, must show a negative RT PCR test of no more than 72 hours before the arrival. Therefore, they request you to take this requirement into account in order to successfully guarantee the visit to their world-renowned project.
Within the 16 ample and comfortable cabins, the lodge accommodates a total of 48 people, distributed in doubles and triple suites. Our fully equipped cabins feature electricity, fan, hot water and a private bathroom with a balcony and a hammock, surrounded by beautifully natural gardens. The 4 mini-suites feature A bigger room space of 42 m2 (140sq. feet), Living room, “Waterfall” Style Shower, Window in ceiling, Amenities: Slippers, bathrobe, bath salts 100% cotton towels, Verandah with seats and hammock to admire the rainforest.
The restaurant, serving local, national and international food, has a maximum capacity of 60 people. It also has a bar and terrace and there are plans to build a pool.
Environmentally friendly, it promotes physical and spiritual experiences, moments of leisure, individually and within groups, both inside and outside the village; a concept that emphasizes the qualities of life and nature, ecology, water, land, leisure, health and well-being.
Perfect for couples, families and groups of friends, for a holiday or short break, Napo Cultural Center offers the single opportunity to enjoy a contact with nature, but near the main cultural attractions of Anangu Kichwa Community.
The programs include easy and medium intensity walks and hikes in order to observe the wildlife and nature of the area; more difficult hikes and longer programs can be arranged. At night we will sail along the Napo River in a boat that emulates the ancestral kichwa trade, where we will enjoy magical stories and legends while tasting some delicious roasted snacks heated on the stove.

It is possible to combine visits to the Cultural Center and the Wildlife Center on itineraries of 5 or more days. The Cultural Center is near the Napo River and the Wildlife Center is about a 2 hour paddle canoe ride behind the Cultural Center

Day 1 - Napo Cultural Center is located on the south bank of the Napo River, the largest Ecuadorian tributary of the Amazon, and lies within the Yasuni National Park. The journey begins from the
town of Coca on comfortable motorized canoes, which travel down the river about two hours. During this time, refreshments will be provided. You will see birds such as herons, kingfishers, terns and other Amazonian shorebirds as well as beautiful riverside landscapes. Upon arriving at the Napo Cultural Center, visitors are warmly welcomed with a refreshing traditional drink and immediately taken to their cabins amidst the teeming wilderness found in one of the most biologically diverse places on Earth. In the afternoon, enjoy a short walk down to the Napo riverbank to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the beaches and natural islands. Return for dinner and rest. Day 2 - Breakfast and early departure on board the boat to visit an amazing parrot clay lick that with an easy access brings visitors face to face with approximately 11 species of parrots (incuding
parrotlets and macaws), depending on the seasons, weather conditions and general good fortune. (This activity is usually successful). We end this morning with a visit to the “Kuri Muyu” Interpretation Center run by the women of the community. Here we offer the chance to get to know the Kichwa culture, their crafts, traditions and use of natural resources directly with people from the community. We return for lunch and rest at the lodge. In the afternoon, walk towards the Añangu stream to visit environments including wetland, upland forest and seasonally flooded forest. Once at Añangu stream you will board a small canoe and head down the river in a spectacular adventure through the forest with opportunities to see nightlife alligators and to listen to the sounds of nature at its purest. Return to the hotel in motorized canoe for a typical traditional farewell dinner and closing of accounts. Enjoy the Kichwa ancestral cuisine. Taste the delicious flavors of maito made with fish, prepared in a leaf of “bijao”, accompanied by fried cacao and exquisite “mayones” or “chontacuros” (forest worms). Refresh yourself with exquisite manioc chicha, a beverage made of manioc fermented with sweet potato and hygienically prepared for the most demanding palates of our visitors. Day 3 - (Optional) We get up at 4: 30 am to share one of
the ancient customs of the Kichwa culture - making wayusa to energize the body. Also listen to the kichwa songs and mind and think about important issues in a peaceful and unique way. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation within 60 to 31 days 50% penalty of the rate; within 30 up to 1 day prior departure 100% penalty of the net rate. Waste Management: All waste is classified and separated into organic and non-organic.
Alternative or Solar Energy: solar panels are implemented in the community and Napo Cultural Center from this year, becoming a sustainable tourism and management model. Biogas: Is a fuel gas generated in nature by biodegradation of organic matter by the action of microorganisms in the absence of oxygen. This has been implemented in the community Añangu and Napo Cultural Center this year "The trip was a life changing/mind blowing adventure! !. Day 2 - Breakfast and early departure on board the boat to visit an amazing parrot clay lick that with an easy access brings visitors face to face with approximately 11 species of parrots (including parrotlets and macaws), depending on the seasons, weather conditions and general good fortune. We end This Morning With A visit to the Interpretation Center "Kuri Muyu" handled by the women of the community here learn about the Kichwa culture, crafts, Traditions and traditional use of natural resources directly to people in the community. We return for lunch and take a break in the lodge. Walk of one hour to climb up the observation tower of 35 meters likely to see a variety of birds, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, toucans, parrots and sloths. Return to the hotel in a motorized canoe for a traditional typical dinner. Day 3 - Breakfast, then visit around the community projects. Talk about the Kichwa worldview. Also do a medicinal walk on the Mama Cuna road, which offers an excellent opportunity to see more wildlife, ceiba trees, strangler figs, bamboo cane, vines and shrubs endemic to Yasuní. We return for lunch and rest at the lodge. Once at Añangu stream, you will board a small canoe and head down the river in a spectacular adventure through the forest with opportunities to see nightlife alligators and to listen to the sounds of nature at its purest. Return to hotel in motorized canoes for a traditional typical dinner. Day 4 - We will get up at 4 o'clock in the morning to share one of the ancestral customs of the Kichwa culture, making wayusa to energize the body and mind. Also, listening to songs in the Kichwa language, speaking important themes and interpreting dreams or meditating in an peaceful and unique environment. We will then return for breakfast and then take our luggage and go to the canoe that will take us back to the city of Coca. Fly back to Quito.

Day 4 - Walk of one hour to climb up the observation tower of 35 meters likely to see a variety of birds, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, toucans, parrots and sloths. Return to the hotel, on this journey you can choose an option to camp, we'll take care of all the equipment, this is another way of perceiving life ancestral of Pacha Mama and forest nature. Day 5 - We get up at 4: 30 am to share one of the ancient customs of the Kichwa culture, making wayusa to energize the body. Also listen to the Kichwa songs and mind and think about important issues in a peaceful and unique way; then we get back for breakfast, before taking a motorized canoe back to Coca city.
