2020 Solar Eclipse Packages
Where there are volcanoes and ancient forests dotted with crystal blue lakes, fjords, waterfalls and natural hot springs,  in 2020 there will be a total solar eclipse. ​Lake Crossing Chile to Argentina

There’s still space left on lake crossings on and around December 14th — the day that an almost total solar eclipse moves across the Chile-Argentina Lakes District next year.

The eclipse will achieve more than 96% totality over much of the route including 95.22% in Petrohué, 95.78% in Peulla, 96.20% in Puerto Blest, and 96.24% in Bariloche.

DAY 1. PUERTO VARAS - VILLA PEULLA OR PUERTO BLEST 
Beginning of the Lake Crossing, bordering Llanquihue Lake with stunning views of the volcanoes; Entry to Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park and visit Petrohué Falls and then navigate the Todos los Santos Lake. During the trip you experience 2 unique locations: Puerto Blest and Villa Peulla to lodge and enjoy nature before reaching the final destination. Breakfast at hotel included. 
 
DAY 2. VILLA PEULLA or PUERTO BLEST- BARILOCHE 
If the lodging is made in Villa Peulla the trip continues to Bariloche at 10.00am and if it was in Puerto Blest the trip continues at 17:00hrs. In both cases, the last navigation begins for Nahuel Huapi Lake with final destination of Bariloche, a city that in winter and summer fascinates people with ski centers, commerce, hotels, restaurants and more..

2020 Solar Eclipse -
​Lake District Chile

DAY 1 - 13th December: PUERTO VARAS – VALDIVIA
In the afternoon, you will be picked up from your hotel in Puerto Varas and head to Valdivia. Your destination city is said to be painted out of a storybook due to its beauty and elegance. Towards evening, you can take your time to enjoy your surroundings before getting some rest. Overnight in Valdivia.

DAY 2 -  14th December: ECLIPSE
Early, you will travel north to a reserved area between Villarrica and the Pacific coast to witness the total solar eclipse that will take place at approximately 13:00 hrs. This will be the event, of all events and true spectacle of nature. During this time, you will also be treated to a delicious lunch prepared with local ingredients. After this unforgettable experience, you will return back to your hotel. Overnight in Valdivia. (B, L, D)

DAY 3: 15th December: VALDIVIA – PUERTO VARAS
After a lovely breakfast you will leave your surroundings and travel southbound enjoying the wonderful landscapes the region has to offer. In the afternoon your trip will come to an end as you arrive back in Puerto Varas. (B)

You will have to spend the previous night in Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt ( 12 December) or arrive on your own to the Valdivia hotel on the 13th. 

On December 15th you can take a flight out from Puerto Montt or stay there 1 night . Or you can fly out from Valdivia (airport transfer not included in price)

The distance considered from Valdivia to the place where the Eclipse will be watched is no more than 4 hours.

2020 Solar Eclipse -
Colico Chile

 On December 14, 2020, parts of Chile will once again be plunged into daytime darkness as the moon passes between the earth and the sun, fully blotting it out in a solar total eclipse. The path of the lunar shadow on this date will be a narrow 90-km band, and our viewing spots at Lago Colico are perfect for appreciating totality in the minute-or-so surrounding the greatest eclipse time at 1:13 PM. Photographers, eclipse chasers and sky-lovers won’t want to miss this infrequent event made all the more special by the glittering lakes and native forests that surround it.
