Araras Eco Lodge offers 19 comfortable air conditioned rooms, windows with mosquito netting, ceiling fan and private bathrooms. Excellent regional food, bar, swimming pool with covered deck, large verandas with hammocks. From this lodge, it is possible to do first-class bird-watching, trekking in pristine forest, canoeing, horseback riding, truck photo-safaris, night tours, and enjoy two exciting tree top look outs and much more, with expert bilingual naturalist guides.

3 Days and 2 NightsDay 1 . Meeting and greeting at the airport. Departure to the Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge at 1:20pm or 5:00pm. Transfer first, on a paved road for 100 km / 62.13 mi to Poconé, passing farms and through the Brazilian savanna. After a short stop in Poconé, we enter at Km 0 of the Transpantaneira Park Road (dirt road) built on a level higher than the floodplain. The road has more than 127 wooden bridges, fording fields, bays and grazing lands. The Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge is at km 32 / 19.88 mi. and the transfer is meant to be a photo-safari for the many species of animals and birds found along its length. The vehicle will make several stops for photos. Arrival at the Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge. Greeting, welcome drink and accommodation. Late afternoon hike within the surroundings of the Lodge, reaching the Mirante da Garça - a 12m / 39.5 ft. high observation tower - for an unique view of the sunset. After dinner, a star gazing trek, to hear the sounds of the Pantanal. Overnight. (D)
Day 2 . After breakfast travel on one of the Lodge’s private dirt roads to Sentinela Camp on the edge of Rio Clarinho. Join a canoe tour, learning about the countless number of fish, birds, flora and the aquatic wildlife; piranha fishing is possible. Picnic lunch at the river bank, a delicious Brazilian barbecue. Return to the lodge and enjoy the sunset from the 25 m / 82 ft. high Howler Monkey’s Tower. Dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 3 . Early morning hike to see and feel the awakening of nature. Breakfast by the swimming pool. Check-out and photo safari transfer to Cuiabá. Drop-off at the airport or city hotel. (B) departs from Araras to Cuiaba airport at 7:30am or 12:30pm and takes about 3 hours.
4 Days and 3 NightsDay 1 - same as above
Day 2 - Full day dedicated to observing the Pantanal’s flora & fauna at the Araras Eco Lodge private reserve. After breakfast, the guide will lead you on a 2 to 3 hour horse ride through the grazing fields, woods and flood lands. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, join a hike to a different area of the reservation, allowing you to watch and learn about this ecosystem. Overnight. (B, L, D) Day 3 . After breakfast, departure to Clarinho River. Here take a canoe and explore the river banks, mangroves and forest. With some luck, you can spot a family of ariranhas (giant otters) fishing, playing and teaching the babies to swim and fish. Chance to fish the elusive Piranha, known for nibbling the bait off the hook without the fisherman noticing. Lambaris, another species of fresh water fish are an easy catch and are delicious when barbecued. A picnic barbecue lunch will be prepared at the camp site. Return to the lodge at the end of the afternoon. Overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 4 . The day begins with a very early start to see the sunrise from the top of Mirante da Garça (Heron’s Tower). Listen to the sounds of the birds leaving the nests for the day and the rising sun touching the vegetation. Breakfast and departure for a hike (if you don't have an early flight). Lunch and transfer to Cuiabá airport enjoying, once again, the beautiful road and the opportunity for last minute photos. 5 Days and 4 NightsDay 1 - same as above
Day 2. The day is dedicated to activities within the grounds of Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge. It starts with a trip (by horse, truck or hike) to see the surrounding ecosystem. Learn about the flood plain ecosystem as you go along, seeing interesting sites all day. Lunch, dinner and overnight. (B, L, D) Day 3. After breakfast, take a ride through the floodplain road to the Clarinho River. Reaching its banks, board a canoe to row up and down river exploring the forest that grows by the riverbank and mangroves. Here lives a colony of the giant otters. With some luck, a family will be seen playing with their babies and teaching them how to swim and fish. Otters are very playful when in family and fierce with other animals. You can try to fish for piranha, though it is not an easy task. Piranhas are famous for biting off the bait without the fisherman noticing. The "lambaris" are easier to catch and will be barbecued for lunch. Return to the Lodge by sunset. Dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 4. Get up early to witness the awakening of the fauna of Pantanal. Breakfast. Departure to deepen the knowledge of the wildlife of this region through a photo-safari along the Park Road. Lunch at the lodge. During the afternoon, visit to the Lodge's center for the reintroduction of parrots and, later, we will walk the trail towards the 13m high Tuiuiú Tower, where you can watch a nest of this bird, the symbol of the Pantanal. Return to the Araras Eco Lodge for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 5. Morning free for personal enjoyment at lodge surroundings, before your photo safari transfer to Cuiabá. Drop off at airport or city hotel. (B, , )
