Glamping at Los Huemules Mountain Reserve
Huemules Mountain Reserve is a tourist project located in the Rivadavia Mountain Range, 22km from Esquel, Chubut province. It will provide the purest contact with Nature without leaving aside the comfort of a big room with private bathroom, Patagonian cuisine and the kindest service, as well as a wide variety of adventurous activities within the marvelous view of Patagonia.
Huemules was designed with the purpose of providing guests a comfortable and intimate stay in full contact with Nature. The Reserve has 10 domes, separated about 30 meters (100 ft) from each other and the ñire forest. The domes’ layout was designed to allow maximum privacy. Each dome has its own private deck with open views from the room. Each dome has a queen size bed or two twin beds; a foldable cot can be added if children less than 14 years old stay with the adults. If the children are over 14, an extra dome needs to be reserved. They’ll try our best to ensure that families are lodged as close as possible. Domes are equipped with full-bathroom, hot water available round the clock, electricity, wood stove, biodegradable bath products and all the amenities the most discerning guest may expect.
Huemules offers the best food in the region during the 4 daily meals that are included.
Huemules offers all kinds of recreational and sport outdoors activities that are also included in the rate. Different activities are offered depending on the time of the year guests will be visiting. If guest are seeking for a relaxing holiday, it is the natural scenery of snowy mountains, forests and streams surrounded by silence and solitude that will provide the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and contemplation.
The excursion program was conceived with different routes, different lengths and different levels of physical effort, so everybody can participate. Some activities last only a few hours and demand very low physical effort, but there are also highly specialized tours in the high mountains that last a complete day. The guests have the possibility to choose what activities they prefer. As activities are performed in nature, these will allow guests to tour the lenga and ñire forests, cross melting snow formed creeks and discover at every step new landscapes in imposing Patagonia. Also, guests will be able to see the most representative local fauna animals: woodpeckers, caiquenes, condors, foxes and deer, among others.
Between November and April, Huemules offers an incredible array of landscapes to enjoy. Discover the mesmerizing spring hues with patches of snow, summer with its intense green shades and the spectacular fall with its unique palette of red hues. During this time of the year some of the activities offered trekking, horseback riding, and mountain biking excursions, covering unique circuits with breathtaking scenery just in the company of the Patagonian immensity. Each step is an experience and each circuit a different sensation.
