Puyuhuapi Lodge & SPA is a remote and exclusive spa. Ideal for adventure and disconnection, it is in the Aysen Region, along the Carretera Austral. Cross by boat towards a quiet bay where you will see the lodge and it`s beautiful architecture amidst stunning vegetation.
It started operations in 1990, using local resources for the buildings. The wood obtained from fallen trees have provided the basic material. Fresh mountain water helped to generate electricity through hydroelectric turbines. Because this energy depends mainly on the amount of water available, low consumption is a priority to maximize savings systems. However, they must support diesel generators, which were installed as far as possible away from guest facilities. The site also provides geothermal energy for heating and hot water energy. Imagine how it feels to your skin and hair after daily showers with natural water from the hot springs! The Spa in Puyuhuapi Lodge is a privileged space with a huge window, from where there are panoramic views over the fjord and the snowy peaks of the Andes. In order to achieve a more playful atmosphere that invites you to rest and relax in the SPA, we have some facilities such as jets, waterfalls and cold shower that were incorporated. In addition, the Puyuhuapi hot springs have 3 outdoors pools, next to the fjord, which give the possibility to enjoy a comforting bath amid spectacular scenery, as well as night bath under the stars or a soft southern rain. But even if you prefer to stay in the room: Hot water and heating in the rooms also comes from thermal springs. They chose not to have TV or cellular signal.
