El Encanto de Guanapalo
El Encanto de Guanapalo is a natural reserve in Colombia of almost 9 thousand hectares 110 km from Yopal. It is made up of 3 typical ranches of the region, which since 1908 have been working to conserve the natural wealth, the tradition and llanera culture.
Hato Mata de Palma , Hato Altamira and Hato Montana make up El Encanto de Guanapalo, and are united by the purpose of continuing to care for the environment and the llanera culture through nature tourism and family work in the beautiful flooded savannahs and gallery forests of the eastern plains of Colombia. At each of these you can stay in comfortable rooms, enjoy typical llanera food and live experiences of adventure and tradition that you will never forget. At all the three hatos you can do the same activities, and have the same services.
Experience the immensity of the plain, the gallery forests, the wild animals and magical plains landscapes. Customize your adventure by choosing adventures like horseback riding, bird watching, wildlife watching, canoe ride, bike ride and nights of stories, myths and legends. A Llanero Safari is unforgettable, whether on horseback, in a tractor or in a 4×4, traveling through savannah, contemplating the wildlife and unique landscapes where you can see animals in their natural environment such as: Chigüiros, deer, babillas, wild horses, bears palm trees and honeyeaters, corocoras (herons), iguanas, ducks, howler monkeys, cattle, owls, armadillos, foxes, morrocoys (turtles), wild pigs, pumas, hundreds of species of birds and many more.
