This 9 day group tour gives you the opportunity to experience the colorful multi-cultural capital of Georgetown, magnificent Kaieteur Falls (one of the iconic destinations in Guyana) and some of the pristine rainforest of Guyana, including the internationally renowned Iwokrama Canopy Walkway.

Saturday - Arrive to Georgetown, where you will be met and transferred in. Free day or optional Mangrove Heritage Centre and Trail tour or Roy Geddes Steel Pan Museum. Overnight at Kanuku Suites (El Dorado Inn in 2021).
Sunday - Morning free to relax or take an optional tour for birdwatching in the Georgetown Botanical Gardens. This afternoon take a flight to Kaieteur Falls, the world’s highest free-falling waterfall. This evening an optional tour to experience the Seawall, bars and street food of Georgetown or optional dinner at Aagman’s Indian restaturant. Overnight at Kanuku Suites (El Dorado Inn in 2021). B and snack at falls. Monday - Flight over the Demerara and Essequibo Rivers and hundreds of miles of tropical rainforest to land in the Rupununi and the indigenous community of Surama. Take a village tour and explore the forest. Overnight at Surama Eco Lodge. BLD Tuesday - Rise before dawn for a walk across the savannah and then climb up Surama Mountain for incredible views across the village and savannah to the Pakaraima Mountains. In the afternoon take a three-mile walk across the savannah and through the rainforest to the Burro Burro River. Your guides will then paddle you on the Burro Burro River for opportunities to observe Giant River Otters, Tapir, Tayra, Spider Monkeys and more species. Overnight at Surama Eco Lodge. BLD Wednesday - Take a forest walk to look for wildlife and birds or relax around the lodge. Take a short hike to see the amazingly brilliant Guianan Cock-of-the-rock. Then continue the journey to Atta Rainforest Lodge, home of the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway. Overnight at Atta Rainforest Lodge. BLD Thursday - Day for exploring the forest on trails and the canopy walkway. Look for Red howler and Black spider monkeys, deer, tapir and agouti. Night walks and drives are also possible and something interesting or new always seems to pop on to the scene including the occasional jaguar. Overnight at Atta Rainforest Lodge. BLD Friday - Welcome the dawn chorus from the canopy walkway and then return to the lodge for breakfast before departure. Flight back to Georgetown. Overnight at Kanuku Suites (El Dorado Inn in 2021). B Saturday - Explore the Bourda Market with Chef Delven Adams who will bring the market to life. Shop with him and learn about the interesting and unusual produce. Then head off for a comprehensive Georgetown city tour before heading to Delven’s Backyard Café for lunch. Optional evening Demerara Historical River Tour. Overnight at Kanuku Suites (El Dorado Inn in 2021). BL Sunday - Pickup and transfer to Cheddi Jagan International Airport for your departing flight.
