The lodge is located in an enchanting and serene lush setting within 819 hectares of natural rainforest. The rainforest acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata National Park Reserve and the shores of the vast Madre de Dios river, making the location of this new lodge quite unique and wonderfully remote. Located only 8 kilometers down river from Puerto Maldonado, Hacienda Concepcioón can only be reached by taking a scenic canoe ride from the town. Pristine, remote, yet easily accessible. A welcoming haven situated at the heart of a 17,000 380 hectare-private ecological reserve (42,008-acre 439 acre), only a 25-minute flight from Cusco. From Puerto Maldonado Airport, check-in at the Butterfly House, then 10 minute transfer to the Boarding Wharf for a 45-minute boat transfer along the river to the Lodge. Located at Kilometer 15, on the left bank of the meandering Madre de Dios River.
Hacienda Concepcion features the supremely comforting main lodge,Casa Grande, with 5 generous sized twin rooms and 25 individual Cabañas, built in the typical Amazon style. High ceilinged with hand-woven, thatched roofing, a spacious dining area are decked out with locally-crafted, warm colored furnishings made of reclaimed new lumber. You will gaze out into the forest on its covered porches overlooking the lake – perfect for wildlife spotting in a fresh but stylish atmosphere and a caring service put together to offer the kind of jungle getaway you truly deserve.

Cozy interiors of thatched roof, wood and expansive forest views make every meal magical. Inspired by the tropical flavors of the Amazon region, meals and beverages are prepared with fresh local ingredients. We serve an international buffet breakfast; lunch and dinner. All meals include a variety of salads and fruits, as well as a selection of homemade breads. We also offer vegetarian options and a children’s menu, upon request.
Hacienda Concepcion's eco center offers a wide selection of excursions that vary according to difficulty and length, as well as activities recommended for children. Some excursions may be included in your tariff, others have an additional charge.

The most recent addition is a spa called NUA – ‘Sky’ in the native Ese’Eja language. Established over stilts at the hotel’s entrance, NUA spa elevates on the of the Madre de Dios River. A perfect spot to stare at the Amazonian dawn or sunset while enjoying special treatments. NUA is inspired by a holistic concept, which combines the classic nurturing of wellness with exotic ingredients of the Amazon rainforest, providing a sensory and mystical experience. Available in the gift shop, all NUA Spa products are 100% natural and derived from in-house botanical extracts. For instance, the cacao exfoliation therapy uses fruits from the property’s organic cacao plantation. Cacao has a high concentration of antioxidants with a rejuvenating effect, as cleanses free radicals. The cacao treatment also offers lymphatic drainage and a relaxing massage with white chocolate milk to moisturize your skin.

Nevertheless as their programs start with lunch of the first day and finish with breakfast and transfer on the last day, they recommend to arrive and depart around midday, lets say between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
If for any operational reason you need to book different flight schedule for arrival do not worry - they will adapt their transfer services.
