After dinner, a star gazing trek, to hear the sounds of the Pantanal. Overnight. (D) . Day 5. The day is dedicated to activities within the grounds of Araras Pantanal Eco Lodge. It starts with a trip (by horse, truck or hike) to see the surrounding ecosystem. Learn about the flood plain ecosystem as you go along, seeing interesting sites all day. Lunch, dinner and overnight. (B, L, D) Day 6. After breakfast, take a ride through the floodplain road to the Clarinho River. Reaching its banks, board a canoe to row up and down river exploring the forest that grows by the riverbank and mangroves. Here lives a colony of the giant otters. With some luck, a family will be seen playing with their babies and teaching them how to swim and fish. Otters are very playful when in family and fierce with other animals.
