Tierra Patagonia is a friendly, welcoming hotel, surrounded by nature, in splendid isolation, overlooking Lake Sarmiento and the towering peaks of Torres del Paine National Park.

The hotel architecture and interiors radiate an ambiance of Patagonian warmth and comfort. Large windows provide the same excellent mountain and lake views from shared spaces as well as from all 40 guest rooms. Hotel facilities include the living room, bar, dining room, excursions area, library, TV lounge, iPads for guest use, WiFi, store, outdoor terrace and full Uma Spa.
Tierra Patagonia has 3 Suites, 34 Superior rooms (10 of which can be connected with a small foyer to create 5 Family Apartments) and 3 Standard rooms. All rooms have the same beautiful view across the lake to the towers of Torres del Paine. Suites have a large living room upstairs and downstairs guests will find the bedroom and bathroom measuring 55 m2 (775 sq.ft.). Both Superior and Standard rooms measure 36m2 (387 sq.ft.). The Family Apartments are 72 m2 (775 sq.ft.) and consist of two bedrooms and two bathrooms which can sleep up to a maximum of 6 people. All rooms have a telephone, hair dryer, safe and heating.
Their excursions allow guests to discover Torres del Paine National Park as well as the ranches and wide open plains that surround the hotel. Our guides lead guests to the mountains, pampas, woods, ranches, glaciers, rivers, lakes and waterfalls of Patagonia and help them spot endemic birds, plants and animals along the way. Guests consult with our head guide at the beginning of their stay to select the best excursions for them, taking into account individual interests and fitness levels. Excursion options include walks, treks, horseback rides, bicycle rides and scenic tours.
Tierra Patagonia´s Chef takes advantage of local products like seafood from the Straits of Magellan, lamb and beef from neighboring ranches as well as native Calafate berries to prepare healthy, delicious meals. Guests can also experience a traditional Patagonian asado, or barbecue, which features the slow-cooking of a lamb over coals. These asados played an important part in the lives of the early settlers and remain so for the local residents today. Guests will enjoy the extensive menu of Chilean wines, artisan beers and classic cocktails.
A distinctive feature of Tierra Hotels is the Uma Spa, a relaxing space that offers steam baths, sauna, heated indoor pool, hydro massage, outdoor Jacuzzi and locker rooms with lush towels and robes. Uma Spa treatments include all types of massages and facials using local elements, stones and water. Like the rest of the hotel, the spa enjoys wonderful views of the lakes and mountains.
Location and SeasonsTierra Patagonia is open from the beginning of spring until the end of autumn and closed during the winter months. It is a one hour drive from Puerto Natales airport and a 4.5 hour drive from Punta Arenas airport. Flights from Santiago, Chile to Punta Arenas are 3.5 hours and 4 hours to Puerto Natales. The hotel is a 30 minute drive from Cerro Castillo and 5 hours from El Calafate, Argentina.
Reservation Conditions:
  • All reservations must be requested in writing and will be confirmed in writing.
  • In order to guarantee a reservation, payment of 30% of the total value of the reservation is required.
  • All reservations will be tentative until the deposit has been received.
  • The payment of the balance of the total value of the reservations must be received at least 30 days prior to arrival of the guests at the hotel.
  • Any reservation which does not meet these requirements may be cancelled without notice by Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa.
Cancellations: The following are the cancellation fees according to the time limits shown.
  • Cancellations 60 days or more prior to the arrival date: No charge.
  • Cancelations between 59 and 30 days prior to the arrival date: 10% of the total value of the reservation.
  • Cancellations between 29 and 15 days prior to the arrival date: 50% of the total value of the reservation.
  • Cancellations between 14 and 0 days prior to the arrival date: 100% of the total value of the reservation.
