Birding Bonanza - 4 days

Any birder´s heaven, this region of northwestern Ecuador has won the Christmas Audubon Bird Count in 2006, 2007, 2008 ... here is your chance to experience some of these avian wonders - Plate-billed Mountain-Toucan and Toucan Barbet at Bellavista, a myriad hummingbirds, the spectacular Cock-of-the-Rock and up to three species of Antpittas and more!

Beginning with the immediate area in and around Bellavista, which won the Christmas Audubon Bird Count various years... then we continue to lower elevations with other spectacular reserves, all accessible by vehicle / on foot. All this makes Bellavista and northwestern Ecuador an ideal destination for a rewarding and in-depth birding tour! Hummingbirds, toucans, antpittas, manakins, the spectacular Cock-of-the-Rock and much more….

5 days / 4 nights: includes lodging with private bath, 14 meals, guided visits in Bellavista Reserve, round trip transport from Quito city, and also includes a visit with guide, entry fees and transport included to Paz de las Aves Reserve (Cock-of-the-Rock and Antpittas), as well as a visit to the Alambi Hummingbird and Tanager Reserve, Milpe Reserve, Rio Silanche Reserve, Mirador del Rio Blanco and more. ​Full Week's Birding
​the Northwest - 7 days

Day 1 – Pickup in Quito. Birding and travel along higher altitude of the Ecoruta and Yanacocha Reserve. Lunch and birding at Alambi Reserve. Afternoon in Bellavista for birding in and around the Lodge. Overnight in Bellavista.

Day 2 - Full day of birding at Bellavista, and along this area of the Ecoruta. Includes use of vehicle. (NOTE on this day: use of vehicle means for dropoff and pickup on roads in and around our reserve, rather than a vehicle and driver always at the client´s sides)

​Day 3 - Early morning at Paz de las Aves Reserve. Continue to Milpe Reserve. Overnight: Bellavista.

Day 4 -Travel to visit Mashpi Reserve and Silanche Reserve. Night at El Borojo or other option.

Day 5 -Travel to Canande. Birding along the way as we drop in elevation. Overnight at Canande Reserve Lodge.

Day 6 - Full day birding at Canande Reserve. Overnight at Canande Reserve.

Day 7 - Return to Quito, birding at different spots en route.

All meals are included, starting with breakfast on Day One and finishing with lunch on Day Seven.
