Pantanal Jaguar Cruise
|
An exciting new river cruise has just been launched in the Porto Jofre region of the Northern Pantantal. This region is famous for the high probability to see Jaguars during the dry season, between mid June and the beginning of November along the Cuiabá river banks, about 30 minutes from Porto Jofre (by boat ride). These wetlands are formed by 4 rivers: Cuiabá, 3 Irmãos, Negro and Piquiri. The jaguar's range extends from Southwestern United States and
Mexico across Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina., but the only place you can regularly see jaguars in the wild is in this area of the Brazilian Pantanal. The boat is stationary and excursions from it are done in smaller skiffs. |
