Sample General Interest Tour
Day 1 - Arrival in Mendoza or San Juan Airport.
Meet & greet at the airport & transfer to hotel. (can add a 1/2 day city tour if you like) Day 2 - Transfer from the hotel to Zuccardi Winery for a short bike ride and tasting experience; an original way of learning about wines. After a thirty minutes drive we reach the wine region of Maipù; this area is where most of the immigrants settled upon their arrival in the late nineteenth century. We will ride our bikes and visit the vineyard; in each area of cultivated wines we will taste a different grape and the wine produced.
FAMILIA ZUCCARDI is a pioneering winery where the emphasis is placed on locating grape varieties that have almost been consigned to oblivion, planting them in small quantities and upon the first grape production making small quantities of the wine in their superbly equipped and dedicated micro fermenting hall. We will enjoy a tour in FAMILIA ZUCCARDI'S vineyards by bike (short ride), sightseeing and learning about the origin of wine. Starting from the gardens of the Visitor House we visit Finca Beltrán vineyards with an expert guide. The tour is divided in three stops: Chardonnay, Syrah and Malbec Stops. In each of them you will taste wines of these 3 varieties and learn its characteristics, irrigation system and the vineyards trelling system. It includes mountain bike, safety helmet, wine tasting and a selection of assorted cheeses and cold cuts. Option: Lunch at the winery. A superb lunch paired with the best wines (includes private roundtrip transfers from Mendoza and bilingual guide) |
Please Note: If you prefer, we can also reserve for stays in the wine areas at top properties such as:

Bodega Luigi Bosca
Founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, our next winery; Luigi Bosca, has a formidable reputation in the industry. The vineyard is currently run by third and fourth generation family members and is one of the few wineries which has remained exclusively in the hands of its owners since planting their very first vines. The family have long since expanded on a successful line of quality vintages, bought about through an intricate understanding of the local environment, to increase their international recognition and export.
Bodega Alta Vista
Finally, the D'Aulan family are former owners of the famous Piper Heidsieck Champagne house, producing wine in all the major wine-growing regions of the world. The creation of Alta Vista in 1998 proved to be the perfect combination of French savoir-faire and Argentinian passion, fusing the best traditions and tastes of both countries. Alta Vista produces outstanding wines, most notably the Alta Vista Grand Reserve Terroir selection 2003, and Alta Vista Alto 2002, both of which have been internationally recognised. Located in Chacras de Coria and surrounded on all sides by the lush vineyards which produce these outstanding grapes; this winery is a never-ending delight, fusing a perfect location, welcoming atmosphere and quality produce.

Some Optional Tours

Alta Montaña
A full day visit to get close to the amazing Stone Sentinel, the Aconcagua, and the highest peak in the world outside Asia.
Private transfer from the hotel to the heart of the majestic Andes. A winding, two hour drive allows you to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and natural wonder of this unique mountain range. Along the way, the route runs parallel to the Mendoza River. Enjoy a criollo lunch in a typical parrilla or steak house, surrounded by the impressive view of the Andes.
After lunch (not included) arrive at Puente del Inca, a natural rock formation that forms a bridge over the Cuevas River. This curiosity is about 48 meters long, 28 wide and 8 thick, and is suspended 27 meters above the river. Continue to the Aconcagua National Park and visit Laguna de Los Horcones. At this point we are just a few miles from the most impressive sight of the whole day. We will look for a break on the wall of rocks, and looking up the valley to the right we can see the towering mass of Aconcagua, at 6.960 meters (22.834 feet). Its summit is covered with eternal snow, and its Southern face offers an impressive wall of 3000 meter (10.000 feet) of sheer ice and stone. Even though it seems to be quite close to the road is actually 45km (28miles) away.
Hike the Horcones Lagoon, a water reservoir fed by the white melted snow. At this point we are very close to the Chilean border. Return to Mendoza following the same road.
