Aqua Nera set sail on its much-anticipated inaugural voyage on June 12, 2021 taking guests into the depths of the Peruvian Amazon in the comfort of luxury. Every day, expert naturalist guides conduct small group excursions that reward guests with up-close wildlife encounters in the world’s most biodiverse rainforest.

The social spaces showcase refined elegance with a touch of drama. Tastefully woven into the design are accents and details from the rubber boom era and the colorful cultures of Portugal, Spain and Peru.
The cruise features cuisine by Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, one of Peru’s finest chefs who is celebrated for creating refined cuisine from native Amazonian produce. Passengers are accommodated in 20 Design Suites across two decks, which convey a sense of Amazon tranquility. Each measures 30 square meters / 322 square feet and has a daybed or sofa. There are 4 interconnected suites. They are served by 40 crew members, including a cruise director, paramedic and 4 English-speaking guides.

TENDERS - 4 auxiliary aluminum launch boats each equipped with two four-stroke low emission engines BICYCLES AND KAYAKS - Ten bicycles and kayaks are provided free of charge onboard, for passengers to explore independently on shore and river. Cycling is such a popular way of discovering daily life in the riverside community of Nauta that they decided to offer guests the opportunity to unveil its charm, on Day 4 of the 7-night Peruvian Amazon river expedition. A classical Peruvian town in the north-eastern part of Loreto Province, Nauta is located on the north bank of the Marañón River, south of Iquitos and just a few miles from the confluence of the Río Ucayali. As guests hop on any of the ten bikes available to them, guides will show off traditional Peruvian houses and laidback river life on this two-hour tour, as well as provide you with plenty of opportunities to shop for unique Peruvian and Amazonia souvenirs while cycling along a major tributary of the Upper Amazon.
