Awasi Patagonia is in a private reserve with impressive views of the Torres del Paine and Lake Sarmiento. A thick native forest of Lenga and Ñire trees protects the location from the strong Patagonian winds and guanaco, nandu, foxes, condors and the occasional puma can be seen.

Why Awasi?
Inspired by old Patagonian shelters and estate "outposts," they have built just 12 villas on their reserve (one of them with two suites), placed in such a way that each one enjoys great intimacy and the best views of the forest, Lake Sarmiento and the Torres del Paine.
The common areas, with the restaurant, the reception, and pleasant lounge areas, are only a few meters from the villas.
The project was designed by Chilean architect Felipe Assadi and construction was based on native woods, allowing the structures to blend in with their natural surroundings. Each of the villas has a surface area of 80 square meters (860 sq ft) including a living room, wood burning stove and hot tub. The villas were designed to capture incredible views from every angle. 
Excursions in Awasi are private and are planned according to each person's preferences and pace. Their guests can go out walking from their villas and experience the different trails in the reserve intimately, observing the flora and fauna, while at the same time programming and enjoying the different excursions in the park and its vicinity with private guides.
In the regular program the guides can take the guests on Puma Spotting excursions during the stay, but as the regular guides are not expert trackers, the puma spotting happens from the car. They can take clients to spots on the reserve where they know pumas are often seen. This service has no additional cost. If clients are true Puma Tracking aficionados, they can hire an additional team of Puma trackers that would organize a 3-day minimum program during their Awasi stay. Puma tracking usually takes place at sunrise or sunset to coincide with the times of day when Torres del Paine's pumas are most active. Certain levels of physical fitness are required, as well as a calm disposition, as they will need to cross the open Steppe – sometimes at a fast pace – to get the best views of these beautiful creatures. Each excursion includes: Private 4WD, trained puma tracking guide (*) as well as their personal guide, meals and drinks (including alcoholic beverages). (*) The trained puma tracking guide has an approx. additional cost of USD 650 per day for 2 guests. This is an additional service to their Awasi Program, subject to availability and the provider requires a minimum booking of 3 days in order to confirm. Another thing I must stress is that we cannot guarantee that they will spot a puma on any of these outings, but they will have a unique natural experience thanks to expert trackers and tried-and-tested methods of sighting these powerful predators. The best time to organize this type of excursions is in October and/or March-April as the pumas are more relaxed after and before the Winter. We offer different alternatives from/to the following locations: - Punta Arenas - Calafate * Please ask us about current prices for these transfers by helicopter or vehicle. Additional bed - Children Up to the age of 5 complimentary. - Children between 6 and 12 years of age, pay 30% of the regular rate. - Children between 13 and 18 years of age, pay 50% of the regular rate. Confirming reservations and payment for new reservations booked until the end of August they are considering the following policies for Awasi bookings: Only 10% prepayment required to book, with the balance due only 30 days prior to arrival date. Modifications are allowed to your booking until 30 days prior to arrival date without fees. Cancellations made more than 31 days prior to your arrival date are subject to USD 150 per person fee.
