"The Mirante do Gaviao lodge is just beautiful! We were very impressed by the staff and facilities. We appreciated that the kitchen made an effort to make vegetarian food for my wife - which definitely isn't easy in a remote location. Our main guide as well as the local guides were excellent and we felt they did a great job taking care of us. The food was excellent. Our room was nicely appointed and quite comfortable. The only strange part of the experience was the booking - I was expecting the lodge to be full (since when I contacted them directly, they said they don't have any availability which I interpreted to mean they were full) - but in fact it was quite empty and I don't think there was more than one other guest staying at the same time we were there. So it was interesting that you were able to arrange it for us. So, thank you for your assistance. We will get in touch next time we visit South America - Chile and Argentina are next!" Kaustubh "We had a wonderful time at the Miranto de Gaviao. Great tours, comfortable room, and really good food at the restaurant. We'd highly recommend it for folks. Thanks again for all of your help getting everything arranged!" Xandra |
