Your Amazon journey takes off on arrival in Iquitos, were we will pick you up and take you to our vessel, you will experience an ideal combination, of a natural wonder, dramatic scenery, indigenous cultural history and a relaxed self-contained way to explore the Amazon while sightseeing nature at it's best, where flora and fauna are abundant and time has stood still.
You are about to explore one of the world's most intriguing environments. Our skiffs are quick to launch, stable to ride and ready to go anywhere, they seat 8 passengers with their own natural guide, captain and features all safety regulations. Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is the largest protected flooded forests in the world, making it one of the primary intact swathes of rainforest in the Peruvian Amazon. During the rainy season in the Andes, water levels rise in the Amazon, flooding 85% of the reserve and making it only accessible by boat.
Trail walks at destinations such as Fundo Casual jungle trail and others will take you deep into the rainforest on terra firme (non-flooded forest) where your guide will point out dynamic creatures and vegetation of the Amazon. A local assistant may also accompany you; these people are natives of the jungle and are able to bring you closer to different animals such as frogs, snakes, and insects. The activity level of these walks are light; we provide rubber boots and rain ponchos in case of inclement weather.
Both the Delfin I and II have new Native´s 16” River Kayaks. These kayaks will give an excellent opportunity to paddle silently into small creeks and lagoons. They have been especially designed for fishing, but will also allow you to gently stream down the Pacaya Samiria flat waters if a soft adventure is what you are looking for. The latest addition the our range of excursions is paddleboarding, available only when sailing on Delfin I. Because of the calm, often ripple-less waters of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, paddleboarding is a great activity for all ages.
In the depths of the Amazon jungle, deep inside lagoons and creeks, pursue sportfishing while enjoying the comfort, security, and style of a Delfin Amazon Cruise experience. Encounter the mighty peacock bass, gigantic awe-inspiring Amazon catfish, and other exotic sporting species! As part of our commitment to the environment, we exercise a strict policy of catch and release.
On the Delfin I you can enjoy a canopy journey unlike any other. At a height of more than 85 feet (25 meters) and a length of more than 1,580 feet (500 meters), the canopy walkway provides you with unparalleled views of the Amazon Rainforest, its wildlife and vegetation. It is accessible to all and requires no special skills or equipment. The suspended bridges are spread between 14 of the area’s largest trees and is one of the longest canopy walkways in the world. Canoeing back through Tawampa Lake, you’ll possibly hear and observe the giant Arapaima, the world’s largest freshwater fish.

The Delfin Amazon Cruises' vessels are now being protected by members of Peru's National Police, who will be stationed onboard and performing surveillance at all times. This security measure will remain in effect indefinitely and is being implemented with the support of MINCETUR, Peru's Ministry of Foreign Commerce and Tourism. These Police Officers will not wear their regular police uniforms. They will be dressed as regular crew members. In addition, Delfin Amazon Cruises is implementing the installation of a laser alarm system to further enhance security on all of its vessels. The system will automatically trigger an alarm in the event that any solid mass of more than 150 pounds crosses the vessel side limits. These additional security measures will be complemented by additional training and safety sessions provided to all Delfin Amazon Cruises staff members.
