Amazon Eco Lodge - a Manaus Amazon Lodge
|
A favorite with clients, Amazon Eco Lodge is the beautiful rainforest eco lodge in Amazonas located 80 km (50 miles) from Manaus, south of the Amazon River, in the Parana do Mamori River system, upstream from Rio Juma. Because it is far from Manaus and away from most other lodges in the area, we think you have a better chance of seeing more wildlife from here.

It actually does not matter if it is high - or low level water, because the lodge is always floating on the river. It is also highly recommendable to take a swim in the warm and black river water all year round. The water temperature is usualy 26-32 degrees Celsius.
The people at Amazon Eco Lodge say "It is located on the Juma Lake, where the water is black and acidic, so the mosquitoes cannot easily proliferate. There are no risks of Yellow Fever, Malaria, Chikungunya, Zika, or Dengue diseases at the lodge. Also, they use mosquito nets in every single room. All of the windows and doors are screened with mesh."

All of the tours depart from the Amazon Eco Lodge in wooden canoes from the main deck. Please feel free during your leisure time to use our wooden dugout canoes for 2 people and paddle along the river, lakes and flooded woodland. We kindly urge you to actively participate in not disturbing the natural wild life.

It was the perfect place to stay, staff was incredible, guide was the best you could ask for and food was delicious. Despite being a bit rustic, it was a very comfortable place to stay. It was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend it to your clients. I would like to go back again sometime and take some friends." suzette "Just got back from our great holiday, a main highlight was staying at the Lodge, the experience was very good throughout. The trips were a super experience from catching the fish. the jungle walk, the dolphins, to the Jungle Bar and Philippe's caipirinhas take a lot of beating!" Jane "It was amazing! The organisation was perfect, the place is as usually a wonderful one with very good accommodations and an excellent cook. The best moment being the night in the forest, and Mateo, our guide, and Adriano, the pilot, were the best! Difficult to say good bye to them, believe me! We will never forget our renewal of vows moment! So thanks for helping us for this!" Dominique Yes, we did enjoy our trip very much, and especially the Amazon Eco Lodge. The Eco Lodge was very clean, good food, great guides fluent in English, and good expeditions with pretty many animal sightings. I would recommend it. - Katie Loehnig "In short, it was AWESOME! The people - every one - were just super. The food was amazing! The guides - ours were Osmar and Franscisco - were just fantastic and treated our daughters as if they were special. It was indeed a special and memorable experience for all four of us." Kevin "The trip went well. We enjoyed the staff and they were very friendly and attentive. Also the food was wonderful. The area was beautiful. I especially enjoyed the trip to the local family. Seeing the river dolphins and hearing the hollowing monkeys was great. The planning on the part of Amazon Adventures was seamless and your communication was great. I appreciated working with you" Les " Left the lodge yesterday...it was amazing! Personalized service, great guides, lots of wildlife...with just the right amount of rustic surroundings. Thank you again for facilitating the reservation. I will be recommending you--and the lodge--to friends!" Catherine "Our trip was wonderful! We loved our guides, the staff, food, lodge, scenery, animals, birds, water…etc. It was an excellent vacation. We would highly recommend the lodge!" Rita "it was totally great. there were only 3 other people there -- really deserted, but it didn't mar the experience. The place is great. Uniquely sited right on the water, so you get to sit in of your terrace and watch caimans and dolphins swimming around, moneys in the trees, et. I swam in the river, but that was before i caught a Piranha there and saw a 2M Caiman swimming off my room. Food was quite good -- really better than it had to be. No A/C in the room didn't matter; fans kept it cool. Quite comfortable. Prices in the bar were incredibly cheap. $1.50 US for a beer, $2 for a Cipirania. Guide first rate. Took us to good places, and showed us lots of wildlife. The place runs like clockwork. If you don't mind a little rustic, I would recommend it HIGHLY to anyone. And I'm happy to talk to anyone who wants to discuss it. Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it." Danny |
