We will cruise along the Paraguay and Cuiabá rivers, as well as in the mountainous region of Amolar, in a comfortable motorboat with only 7 cabins, exploring three different nature reserves: The Pantanal National Park, the Meeting of the Waters State Park and the Transpantaneira Park Road. Throughout our trip, we will be in search of its fascinating and rich wildlife, such as the amazing jaguar, the playful giant otters, the countless caimans sunbathing on the sandbanks, the enchanting giant water lilies of the Victoria Regia and the thousands of diverse birds that make up South America's wildest sanctuary.

Day 1 – ARRIVAL IN CAMPO GRANDE / TRANSFER IN FROM CAMPO GRANDE TO CORUMBA / PANTANAL RIVER CRUISE L/D Reception at Campo Grande airport (CGR) , the flight should arrive before 10am, or arriving the day before and sleeping in Campo Grande. Private transfer to Corumbá, approximately 6h00 on a paved road. Stop for lunch, included. Arrival in Corumbá to board the ship for the next 5 nights. Navigation to the Paraguay River during the night.
DAY 2 – PANTANAL RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D) Breakfast and sunrise near Paraguay Mirim, where we will stop to swim or snorkel in its crystal-clear waters. Return to the boat for lunch and rest. Mid-afternoon departure for a river safari in the Amolar area. Return for dinner and sleep on board near the Acurizal Ranch. Serra do Amolar is a remote destination in the far west area of Pantanal, close to the border between Brazil and Bolivia. The unique landscape, where mountains surround and protect wetlands, crystal-clear rivers and an amazing biodiversity, is still unknown to many Brazilians. This is an exceptionally beautiful landscape seen by very few tourists. Here the giant water lilies are only one of the marvelous natural wonders to be observed. While we put emphasis on finding jaguars there is exceptional, birdlife, and the riverside environment is ideal for tapir (biggest animal in South America), giant otters, capybara, caiman, anaconda, and much more. DAY 3 – PANTANAL RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D) Breakfast and disembark at Acurizal Ranch for a short hike to try and find the endemic Titi monkey and other wildlife, while our ship begins to move towards the Cuiabá River. Return on board for lunch. Midafternoon departure for a river safari near the headquarters of the Pantanal National Park. Return on board after sunset. Dinner and overnight navigation on the upper Cuiabá River. Day 4 – PANTANAL RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D) Breakfast and morning to explore the Negrinho River and its surroundings on a river safari. Lunch on board. Mid-afternoon dedicated to our first exploration of the Porto Jofre region, known as the "land of the jaguar", where the Encontro das Aguas State Park is located. Return for dinner after sunset and overnight. This afternoon and the following day will be dedicated to our river safaris exploring the Cuiabá,Piquiri and Três Irmãos rivers and tributaries in the area of the Encontro das Aguas State Park. Our outings will be during the day, when we will move along the rivers in search of wildlife such as giant and neotropical otters, capybaras, caimans, a wide variety of birds and the elusive jaguar. DAY 5 – PANTANAL NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D) Breakfast and departure for a river safari to explore the region of the Encontro das Aguas State Park. Lunch on board. Mid-afternoon departure for our last river safari and sunset. Dinner on the boat and overnight. DAY 6 – PORTO JOFRE - ARARAS LODGE (B/L/D) Breakfast on the boat and departure for Araras Eco Lodge, via the transpantaneira, the best road in the park, which allows us to drive above water level, observing the flora and fauna of the Pantanal ecosystem - a photographic safari3 along 120 km of dirt road with several stops along the way for photos and information. Welcome drink on arrival and accommodation. Later, your guide will take you on an introductory walk around the lodge, explaining their concepts and many conservation projects. Continue to the Great Egret Lookout, a 12 m3 / 39 ft high observation tower. After dinner, night walk under the Southern Hemisphere sky. Day 7 – PANTANAL: CANOEING OR HORSE RIDING AND TREKKING (B,L,3D) After breakfast, go on a photographic safari along private dirt roads towards the Clarinho3River. Once on its banks, board a canoe and paddle down the river, exploring the forest that grows on the river banks and the mangroves. Here lives a colony of "ariranhas" - giant otters. With a bit of luck, you might see a family playing with their babies and teaching them to swim and fish. The chance to catch the elusive piranha is not an easy task, but it is fun. Enjoy lunch in the woods under the shade of the trees. Hammocks are available to enjoy a siesta, or, enjoy a horseback ride, which will allow you to explore the diversity of the Pantanal landscape, including some flooded areas of the Pantanal plain. The Pantanal horse is docile and has adapted over the centuries to eating with its nose under3water. In this region, the horse is the Pantanal's best friend, a daily companion for work and leisure. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, walk along the howler monkey trail to the Howler Monkey Tower, their highest observation point 25 m high, for a magnificent view of the sunset. After dinner, take par in a3 night walk in search of nocturnal animals. (B,3L,3D) *If Sentinel Camp is not accessible, depending on weather conditions and terrain, this canoeing trip will take place on the Corixo River. In this case, we will return to the lodge for lunch. Day 8: CHECK-OUT AND DEPARTURE TO CUIABA AIRPORT Transfer out to Cuiaba after breakfast. |
