5 Days From/to Puerto NatalesDay 1 - Your guide will pick you up in Puerto Natales . On our first day, we’ll set off on a scenic and peaceful bike ride from Puerto Natales, passing through Puerto Bories and along the Eberhard Fjord, until we reach Puerto Pratt: the first Chilean settlement in the area, founded in 1899. From there, we’ll continue on a quiet road to Estancia Puerto Consuelo, and eventually arrive at the Milodon Cave, a site declared a Natural Monument.After exploring the cave’s interior, we’ll begin a 4-hour archaeological hike. Along the trail, we’ll walk through forests filled with iconic patagonian trees like ñirre, lenga, and coihue.We’ll also discover three hidden caves featuring striking prehistoric rock paintings and reach a panoramic viewpoint where it’s common to spot majestic condors soaring overhead.
BL, D 4 hour total hike, 6.4 km / 4 mi, 1.5-hour total ride, 32 km / 20 mi 2-hour total by private transfer Day 2 - After breakfast, a private transfer will take us to Lake Pehoé, where we’ll board a short 35-minute catamaran to Paine Grande Refuge. From there, we’ll begin our hike toward the entrance of the French Valley. The trail gradually ascends for about an hour until we reach the French Valley viewpoint:La Plateau.We’ll take our time to enjoy lunch at the viewpoint, surrounded by towering peaks and vast open skies. Afterward, we’ll retrace our steps back to Paine Grande and board the catamaran once again to cross Lake Pehoé.
Our private transfer will be waiting to take us back to Riverside Camp. A freshly prepared dinner will welcome us at the dining lodge, before settling in for the night in a private glamping tent on the banks of the Serrano River. B , L , D 2-hour total private transfer, 1-hour total navigation, 7 to 8-hour hike, 17 km / 10.5 mi Day 3 - After breakfast, our transfer will take us to Pudeto, where we will begin a gentle round-trip hike. We will pass by the Salto Grande waterfall, where Lake Nordenskjöld flows into Lake Pehoé.We will enjoy a peaceful walk along the shoreline, following a trail that skirts the black sand beach, where you’ll be treated to a wonderful view at the Cuernos Lookout.
On the way back, we’ll take a break to enjoy a fresh snack and a short rest before our private transfer takes us to the next starting point at Sarmiento Lagoon. After approximately one hour of hiking, we will reach a rock formation featuring a series of cave paintings that date back 6,000 years. Upon arriving at the Laguna Amarga entrance, our private transfer will be waiting to take us to our accommodation. B , L, D 4.5-hour total hike, 12,5 km / 7,7 mi, 3-hour total private transfer Day 4 - After a hearty breakfast, your transfer will take you to the Grey River area, where you’ll meet your kayak guide for a safety briefing and paddling instruction.Weather permitting, you’ll paddle across Grey Lake for about 2 hours before beginning the descent down the Grey River, which winds through canyons filled with rapids and framed by steep, rocky walls.
Accompanied by breathtaking views of the Paine Massif, we’ll paddle 25 km (15.5 miles) along the Grey River until it merges with the Serrano River. After 4–5 hours on the water, we’ll return to our camp, ready to stretch out, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved dinner. B , BL, D 30-minute total transfer, 4 -5-hour paddling, 25 km / 15.5 mi Day 5 - This final day is the most challenging of the tour. It demands stamina and determination, but offers unforgettable rewards for those who take on the climb.We’ll begin the hike by entering the Ascencio Valley, gradually ascending until we reach the Windy Pass. This section is as beautiful as it is exposed, with strong gusts of wind. It’s essential to follow your guides’ instructions to cross this area safely.
Just a few meters ahead, we’ll reach Refugio Chileno. This is the last point along the route with bathrooms, food for sale, and internet access. Make sure to bring cash if you plan to purchase anything. From there, we continue into a lenga forest, crossing small streams until we arrive at a panoramic viewpoint that reveals the next and most demanding stretch of the day. The trail then climbs steeply up a massive terminal moraine, where we’ll be rewarded with the breathtaking view of the iconic Towers. The terms and conditions listed below, including the reservation form and all written documents such as emails exchanged constitute an agreement between these parties and are therefore contracting conditions. If clients book by telephone or internet, they will be considered to have read the terms and conditions and are in agreement with them.
Reservation Payment – To formally reserve a trip, each person must provide: -An initial deposit of 10% of the trip cost -Completed health and liability forms Final Payment –The balance of the trip cost is due 45 Days before the trip start. When booking a trip with less than 60 days before the trip start, it is considered a last minute booking and 100% of the trip cost must be paid in full within 48 hours to confirm your reservation. Until the payment is received the trip cannot be guaranteed and any changes to the itinerary may be subject to additional fees. Cancellations Fees & Refunds All requests for cancellations and applicable refunds must be made in writing. Depending within the cancelling dates; the following are the amounts that will be refunded to you.
-Cancellation or compensation payments do not apply due to “Force Majeure,” that is, unusual events and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the operator or its sub-contractors for events that occur such as war, pandemics, strikes, riots, terrorist activity or threats, natural disasters, climate conditions or fire, environmental emergencies, transport changes in airline companies, boaters and land carriers, changes in providers, etc. Operator is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled trip. For this reason we strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance Travel Insurance: trips take place in remote locations, accidents can and do occur occasionally as well as last minute inconveniences, such as flight delays, loss of luggage, or a simple ankle twist preventing you from arriving on time at the meeting point agreed or unable to finish your vacation. Therefore we require all clients carry their own health, accident and liability insurance. Travel insurance should include protection for the full duration of your vacation including: medical expenses, injury, death, repatriation as well as cancellation and curtailment. It is good to check that there are no exclusions clauses limiting the types of activities included in your trip. Operator will act in full accordance during an emergency situation, but we can assume no responsibility for medical costs or evacuation costs during or after a trip. Liability We require all our guests to complete and sign a liability waiver that will be sent to them prior to the trip start. Health Conditions: All our guests should be in good general physical health. A general health form will be sent to each guest to be completed and signed; this should be returned at the time of the initial trip deposit. Passport/Visas: All clients should hold a valid passport whose expiration date is at least 2 months later than the trip departure date. Personal valuables: The operator does not assume responsibility for any loss or theft of personal belongings of the client, whether purchased on the trip or otherwise. |
