Paraty Hiking Adventure - Jungle and Beach Trip
|
Explore some of the best beaches on the Green Coast from the car-free fishing village of Ponta Negra. On this trip we spend the night in a fishing village on the edge of the jungle in one of the most remote parts of the Juatinga Peninsular Eco-reserve. Although located mid-way between two of the largest cities in South America, Ponta Negra often feels as though it has been forgotten in time. Surrounded by wild and unspoilt Atlantic Rainforest the local Caiçara fishing people continue to live off the sea.

When to come & Weather conditions
We work all year round. However, the best time for this trip is Brazilian autumn/ fall and winter (March to September) when it is cooler, drier and sunnier. During these months temperatures are around mid 20s Celsius (mid 80s Fahrenheit) during the day, not humid, and cooler at night. December, January and February are the tropical summer months which are very hot, very humid and very wet. These months are best avoided if you are not used to the heat. April, May, June and September are the quietest low tourist season months. It’s best to avoid Easter and national holidays as the town and the bay get busier and prices go up.
