This tour is designed for wildlife lovers to some of the best spots in Colombia to observe fauna & flora. Here you can expect to see great wildlife, some of it endemic. The destinations chosen are normally away from mass tourism and you can get a deeper contact with rural communities, visit different ecosystems that range from the high Andes, passing by the eastern flatlands, the Amazon jungle, and the Caribbean Coast of Colombia, also helping the wildlife and ecosystems preservation efforts in the regions to visit. |

DAY 1 - WELCOMING IN BOGOTÁ
We will pick up the group at the El Dorado Airport and take them to the chosen hotel. Our bilingual guide will be waiting at the exit of the airport with a banner with the name of the passengers. At night the group will have time for dinner and rest. MEALS: (-/-/-) HOTEL: HOTEL DE LA OPERA OR SIMILAR DAY 2 - EXPLORING BOGOTÁ Today, you will have a full day city-tour, where you will visit the most iconic spots of the capital of Colombia, such as the La Candelaria neighborhood, Monserrate church and the gold museum of Bogota. MEALS: (B/L/-) HOTEL: HOTEL DE LA OPERA OR SIMILAR DAY 3 - CHINGAZA NATIONAL PARK On this day, we will take you early in the morning by car to Chingaza National park, which is located 60 kms away from Bogota. Once there we will do a first trek in the Páramo ecosystem through a 5 km trail by 3 different lakes called "Siecha", where the myth of "El Dorado" and gold offerings took place centuries ago. 3200 - 3800 m.a.s.l. MEALS: (B/L/D) ACCOMMODATION: CABINS INSIDE CHINGAZA NATIONAL PARK DAY 4 - CHINGAZA NATIONAL PARK On this day, we will get deeper inside the national park and will do hikes of 10 kms in total in order to see hidden spectacular landscapes of the eastern Colombian mountain range. With some luck we might see the Andean bear. At night we will get back to Bogota to spend the night and rest in a comfortable hotel. 3200 - 3800 m.a.s.l. MEALS: (B/L/-) HOTEL: HOTEL DE LA OPERA OR SIMILAR DAY 5 - CASANARE DAY 1 Today, you will fly to the city of Yopal, where you will be received at the airport and then will have a 3 hours transfer to Hato La Aurora in 4x4 cars. This place is known for the conservation of its wildlife and after lunch, you will have a tour in canoes to watch aquatic fauna in the rivers of the reserve. MEALS: (B/L/D) HOTEL: HATO LA AURORA RESERVE DAY 6 - CASANARE DAY 2 We start touring very early in the morning at the ranch in order to have a better chance to see birds and wildlife. Or optionally, we can start after breakfast. You Will have a full day Safari searching for the big 5 of the reserve: Capybara, Anaconda, Anteater, Puma & the Jaguar. MEALS: (B/L/D) HOTEL: HATO LA AURORA RESERVE DAY 7 - CASANARE DAY 3 We can start very early in the morning in order to have a better chance to see birds and wildlife. We can also start after breakfast. You will have a full day Safari searching for the big 5 of the reserve: Capybara, Anaconda, Anteater, Pumas & the Jagüar by a different path. DAY 8 - CASANARE DAY 4 after breakfast, you can do a horseback ride at the reserve by different trails where with some luck you can see monkeys and other species of a denser forest. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will have a transfer in 4x4 to Yopal, where you will spend the night. MEALS: (B/L/-) HOTEL: HOLIDAY INN YOPAL

DAY 9 - AMAZON JUNGLE DAY 1
You will fly first to Bogota, and then will have a connection there to fly to Leticia. Once there, for small groups you will be taken in a public boat on the Amazon River that departs at 1:30 PM towards the indigenous village of Mocagua. Once there you can do some afternoon and night activities. MEALS: (B/-/D) HOTEL: LA CEIBA LODGE OR CAN UPGRADE TO CALANOA RESERVE DAY 10 - AMAZON JUNGLE DAY 2 You will depart to Vista Alegre (Perú), where you will visit the Musmuki project. You will have different activities at the reserve such as jungle hikes, visit to the lakes and will observe the nocturnal monkey, which gives the name to the reserve. Later on, you will return to Mocagua. MEALS: (B/L/D) HOTEL: LA CEIBA LODGE OR CAN UPGRADE TO CALANOA RESERVE DAY 11 - AMAZON JUNGLE DAY 3 after breakfast you will have a navigation towards Puerto Nariño. Then, you will have a walking tour in this town, which is the first fully sustainable town nationwide. Then you will have lunch and will visit the Tarapoto Lakes, where you can swim and see dolphins. Later on, you will return to Mocagua. MEALS: (B/L/D) HOTEL: LA CEIBA LODGE OR CAN UPGRADE TO CALANOA RESERVE DAY 12 - AMAZON JUNGLE DAY 4 You will visit the Maikuchiga foundation, which is a rescue center for wildlife, where you will get to know their conservation efforts and will see different monkey species. In the afternoon you will return by public boat to Leticia. Once there you will have accommodation in the Tanimboca Ecolodge and night activities there. MEALS: (B/L/-) HOTEL:TANIMBOCA ECOLODGE |
Tayrona National Park
DAY 13 - FLIGHT TO SANTA MARTA
On this day, you will wake up early in the morning in order to see birds. After that you will have breakfast and will be taken to the airport of Leticia 2 hours before your flight to Santa Marta with a connection in Bogota. Once in Santa Marta you will have free time there to enjoy the warmth of the Caribbean coast. MEALS: (B/-/-) HOTEL: HOTEL CASA DE LEDA DAY 14 - TAYRONA NATIONAL PARK Today we will take you in a guided tour visiting Tayrona National Park, which is probably the most famous national park nationwide. Here, you will have a hike through well preserved ecosystems with chances to see wildlife till you arrive to the rocky beaches of place. Late in the afternoon will get back to the hotel. MEALS: (B/L/-) HOTEL: HOTEL CASA DE LEDA DAY 15 - MINCA DAY 1 Today, you will be taken to rural area of Minca, where you can see a glimpse of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, which has the highest mountains next to the ocean in the world. You will witness a very well-preserved jungle with butterflies, birds, waterfalls and pristine nature. MEALS: (B/L/-) HOTEL: CASAS VIEJAS BY MASAYA ECOLODGE DAY 16 - MINCA DAY 2 We will wake up early in order to do a birdwatching activity in this, which is one of the best ecosystems to do that activity due to its geographical conditions with several endemic species. In the afternoon you will visit a coffee farm and late in the afternoon you will be taken to Santa Marta.
