Inspired by Pre-Inca ruins located outside San Pedro de Atacama, the 12 adobe suites have charming thatched roofs, and large bathrooms which open into private solariums with al-fresco showers.  Measuring over 50 square meters, the suites are self-contained havens where you can unwind, relax and rest.

From the moment you arrive, you will be assigned  a private excursion guide and a 4x4 vehicle so that you can experience the magic of the desert through excursions specially tailored to your pace and personal tastes.

​The restaurant, for the exclusive use of Awasi guests, offers a daily selection that features the local gastronomy, adapts to your requirements and provides the culinary excellence that characterizes them as Relais & Chateaux members.
Just 15 minutes from the small town of San Pedro de Atacama,
Awasi has an observatory where you can enjoy a unique stargazing experience. Starting with a general explanation of the constellations, including Andean cosmology, we then observe with the naked eye before moving into a small observatory equipped with an 11-inch telescope.

  • Private Excursions: One Private Guide & a 4x4 vehicle to design and adapt the excursions that best suit your preferences and interests. You may choose between one full-day excursion (4 to 6 hrs.) or two half-day excursions (between 2 and 5 hrs.) per day.
  • Transfers: Private transfers from and to Calama (CJC) airport when in accordance to check in/out times.
  • Lodging: A desert oasis in San Pedro de Atacama, with spacious rooms crafted using local materials and traditional techniques.
  • Meals: As members of Relais & Châteaux, we celebrate the richness of local gastronomy through exclusive, tailor-made culinary experiences rooted in hospitality and tradition.
  • Beverages:  include all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including a selection of exquisite national wines. Open bar, cocktails and mocktails.
  • Tailor-made service: A Personal Reservations Assistant will be your constant point of contact, coordinating all details of your trip, taking your interests and expectations into account.

At the moment of choosing flights please consider the following time frames (according to our operational times): arrival flight to Calama should be between 13h and 20h, departure flight from Calama should leave between 11h and 16h at the latest

Payment Policy:  A deposit of 50% of the total reservation amount is required at the time of booking confirmation. The remaining balance must be settled no later than 30 days prior to arrival.

  • 120 and 61 days prior to arrival: 50% charge of the total reservation amount.
  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: 100% charge of the total reservation amount.
High Season (Nov. to Feb.)
  • 45 days or more prior to arrival: Full refund.
  • Between 44 and 31 days prior to arrival: 50% charge.
  • 30 days or less prior to arrival: 100% charge
Shoulder and Off-Peak Season (March to Oct.)
  • Up to 31 days before check-in: 100% refund of deposited amounts.
  • 30 to 16 days prior to arrival: 50% penalty of the total lodging amount; remaining balance refundable.
