In this reserve, you will be surrounded by the songs of exotic birds and by a lavish verdant world of a warm and fragrant rainforest. They are very committed to preserving the local culture and the conservation of the ecosystem. Day 1 - Arrival at Bahía Solano
Once you arrive at Bahía Solano, you will be taken to your accommodation at Hotel El Almejal where you will spend the next few nights. Once you have settled in, you will have lunch and you will have the rest of the afternoon free to enjoy this peaceful and paradisiacal corner of the Colombian Pacific Coast. Today you will stay in a cozy cabin, which combines perfect comfort with complete harmony with the environment. The cabin is a sustainable construction which adapts to the nature of its surroundings. In your cabin you will have a bed with a mosquito net, a comfortable private bathroom, and a terrace. Please be aware that after your arrival in Bahia Solano you have to pay an additional airport tax of 8.000 COP (around 3 USD) per person. and the tourism tax of $30.000 COP (around 10 USD) per person. Included: cabin , full board , arrival transfer Day 2 - Whale watching (best July-October) Early in the morning we will take our boat to go out in search of the whales and enjoy the spectacle that they offer us when going out to surface with their breaths of almost 7 meters. We can see the greatness and majesty of these aquatic mammals to appreciate their backs, tails and if we are lucky, see some playful baby whales. In case of not having seen whales in this first excursion, another excursion will be planned to achieve a successful sighting. Let yourself be amazed by the immensity of the Pacific Ocean on this day. Included: cabin , private excursion , full board , local guide Day 3 – Eco-lodge Reserve El Almejal Today you will have the possibility to enjoy the various options and facilities that El Almejal has to offer. The eco-lodge also takes its name from a beach located inside the reserve. This two-kilometer beach is considered one of the most beautiful and characteristic of the Colombian Pacific, due to the long length and the variable tide which make it the perfect place to take a walk and relax. In this reserve you will get to know the humid forest ecosystem and you will be impressed to observe endemic species of flora and fauna of the region. Included: cabin , private excursion , full board , local guide Day 4 - TOUR TO UTRIA NATIONAL NATURAL PARK : Embark on a 40 minute boat trip to the Utria National park, where the landscape is made up of mangrove trees and waterfalls. Utria cove is considered one of the most beautiful natural areas in Colombia and it is home to a variety of migratory birds and other species. While navigating towards the park, observe the contrast between the lushness of the rainforest and the serenity of the Pacific. You will explore the unique natural environment of the park and be amazed by the emerald green coves, the fascinating mangroves, the white sandy beaches and the crystal clear waters which invite to take a dip. At the park’s Interpretation Center you will hear from an expert biologist about the main conservations projects developed in Utria, and how the local communities are actively involved to ensure the preservation of this unique ecosystem. On the way back to the lodge, you will be taken to one of the few white-sand coral beaches on the Colombian Pacific, where you will be able to snorkel or just relax. WHAT TO DO IN UTRIA:

It's time to say goodbye to this slice of paradise, which has surely enchanted you with its tranquility, natural environment, and the warmth of its people. After your stay on the beautiful Pacific coast, with many new experiences now in your memory, you will have a transfer to the airport in Bahía Solano to depart for your next destination. You will have a domestic flight from Bahía Solano to Medellin. The area has the same fishing conditions as Tropic Star Lodge in Panama, but with less fishing pressure, this up-and-coming sportfishing mecca is only accessible by boat or plane. Several hundred miles of virgin jungle border the Pacífic Ocean with a mix of sandy beaches and rocky shoreline.
They are privileged to have excellent fishing conditions all year round because all of the prime species are residents, but they have 2 main seasons so anglers can have a full experience. They also do the fishing expeditions off season with excellent results. we have the option from 1 to 4 anglers per trip. Inshore season (March to June) in one of the largest sardine migrations in the world where you are going for species like (Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Cubera snapper, Jacks, Amberjack, Tarpons, Roosters) - many times when we you in this season you have the chance to fight the fish with a beautiful background of the jungle and whale sharks eating below the boat - it is a unique scenery. Bahia Solano shares the common characteristics of diving in the Colombian Pacific: rocky bottoms or ridges with large fauna and variable visibility conditions. Between the ridges there are vertical walls, mountains that emerge from the sea, countless small caves and aquariums with crystal clear water. From Utria Cove to Cabo Marzo Sentinels, there are over 200 dive sites, among the most predominant coral species we can find angelfish, butterfly, sea turtle, cabrillo, parrot, jellyfish and puffer fish and larger species such as snappers, jacks, amberjacks, mantas, tuna, sharks, groupers, whale shark, barracudas, sailfish.
