Day 2 Lima | Larco Museum, City Tour and Magic Water Circuit. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin your Historic Center of Lima tour. You'll start by visiting the Aliaga House, a colonial mansion with over 5 centuries of history, considered the oldest house in the Americas. Then, you'll explore the Plaza Mayor, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can visit the imposing Lima Cathedral. Finally, you'll visit the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre. The museum boasts a comprehensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold and silver objects and a selection of erotic art pieces, here, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in over 5,000 years of ancient Peruvian history. This afternoon, head towards the city center to visit the Magic Water Circuit, the largest electronic fountain complex in the world certified by Guinness World Records, located in the Reserve Park. You will be picked up from the airport at the scheduled time to transfer you to your hotel in Lima.
DAY 2 | LIMA – CARAL 4X4 During the morning you are picked up from your hotel and transferred north of Lima, where you will live an off-road experience. Make a stop in the city of Huaral for breakfast. Continue to the Sacred City of Caral, where the oldest civilization in America developed more than 5000 years ago. Get up close to this impressive archaeological site, its buildings and squares. Caral was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and its discovery rewrote the history of what was known about life in America up to that time. Then, enjoy lunch at La Empedrada Lodge. Later, start the return to Lima, but first, go through a natural formation of sand known as "El Tubo", and travel through the desert and its spectacular dunes in a 4x4 vehicle. Once this activity is finished, return to the highway and arrive in Lima. Level: Easy Duration: 10 hours Maximum altitude: 1149 feet / 350 m a.s.l.
DAY 3 | PALOMINO ISLAND A transportation service will pick you up from the hotel in the morning and will transfer you to the Callao Yacht Club. From there you will set sail to the Palomino Islands, located in front of the coast of the Callao Constitutional Province. On your way, you will stop at the anchorage of yachts, warships and merchant vessels. You will also pass by the San Lorenzo Island, which is eight kilometers long and has played an important role in the history of Lima. You will the visit the Palomino Islands, two islands that are part of a special ecosystem, where an extraordinary fauna - composed of sea lions, local and migratory birds - coexists. The lack of predators makes it possible to dive with the lions and penguins at a short distance and in complete harmony. You will finally return among islets inhabited by guano birds and the second largest colony of Humboldt penguins in Peru, while you enjoy a snack.
DAY 4 | DEPARTURE LIMA You will be transferred to the Cusco airport to take your departure flight.
