4 Day Multisport
DAY 1: CALAMA – SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – MOUNTAIN BIKE DEATH VALLEY
This thrilling adventure starts as we arrive to Calama and are transported to San Pedro de Atacama. After check in at the hotel we will hop on our mountain bikes and head to the famous Death Valley. We will follow the ancient river beds that have carved the landscapes into enigmatic shapes and figures, some measuring up to 40 meter in height. This tour will then be combined with an exciting sandboarding excursion. This is the perfect experience for cross country adventures who want to experience the wild side of nature. Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama. (2.5 Hrs. Activities)
DAY 2: HIKING QUEBRADA DEL DIABLO & HORSEBACK RIDING AYLLUS OF SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA
Our morning will commence with a hike through the Katarpe Valley where we will be able to appreciate the surrounding scenery of impressive geological formations. The path will take us to Quebrado Del Diablo. This narrow canyon is located in the heart of the Salt Mountain Range and offers us a glimpse of true desert landscape. Later that same day we will take a trip on horseback and head south of San Pedro de Atacama to a variety of ayllus (traditional form of a community in the Andes). On our journey we will learn about life in this vast dry desert and how people have survived through a means of agriculture and farming. We also witness a variety of native flora and typical adobe architecture. Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama.(4+3 Hrs. Activities) (B)
DAY 3: TREKKING MACHUCA & RIO GRANDE
Today, we will take a significant hike through the highlands of Chile. We will start off at the town of Machuca located at 4000 meters a.s.l. known as the resting place for llama caravans that traveled the Inca Highway. Along our trek we will witness great beauty and follow and old pasturage route that will take us past cultivation fields and marshlands. We will descend towards the Peñaliri River where we have time for lunch and admire ancient buildings that are a testament of earlier times. Our final destination will be the town of Rio Grande home to the Atacameño people known for conserving their traditions and customs. Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama. (7 Hrs. Activities) (B, BL)
DAY 4: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – CALAMA AIRPORT
After breakfast we will head to the Calama Airport for our departure flight. (B)

7 Day Hiking
Day 1 Calama Airport - San Pedro de Atacama - Valle de la Luna
We welcome you at Calama airport and transfer to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon we leave behind the town towards Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain range) where we visit Valle de la Luna. It has a special appeal due to its amazing resemblance to the lunar surface. We enjoy the sunset and the color changing of the desert and its volcanoes. We toast with pisco sour, for our arrival to the most arid desert in the world.

Notes: in order to do Valle de la Luna excursion, flight must arrive before 1 pm at Calama airport.
Day 2 San Pedro de Atacama - hiking Guatin - Gatchi / hiking Quebrada del Diablo - Katarper
In the morning, after breakfast, we drive towards the Quebrada de Guatin. In this rocky canyon, we begin to walks, following the course of the Vilama River, which we cross several times during our path, surrounded by centennial cacti. Then we return to San Pedro de Atacama and you have free time for lunch on your own.
In the afternoon we drive to Quebrada del Diablo, located in the Cordillera de la Sal. We walk on flat terrain on a dry riverbed with gypsum formations. Then we begin a gradual ascent, to a magnificent viewpoint of all the surrounding volcanoes. We continue walking along a route of old caravans where we will find some petroglyphs that are evidence of commercial activity in the area.

Day 3 Salar de Atacama - Altiplanic lagoons
After breakfast we leave the hotel towards the Atacama Salt flat. We visit Chaxa Lagoon where we can see flamingos and other migratory birds. We continue in our vehicle to altiplanic lagoons Miscanti and Miñiques, located at the foot of these volcanoes, at 4000 meters above sea level. The contrast of colors and the landscape is breathtaking.
On our way back to San Pedro de Atacama we stop at a small town called Socaire, located 3500 meters above sea level, where we enjoy lunch and visit its typical church.

Day 4 Geyser del Tatio -Puritama hot spring waters.
This days starts quite early in the morning. We will depart before sunrise (4am) in order to go to the TATIO volcano, located 4300 meters over sea level.
First thing we'll do once we arrive is to go to the geothermal field located in the mountain range of Los Andes. Early in the morning this place has an amazing steamy activity because of the high temperatures that are coming up from the craters. The boiling water, the huge columns on steam and the water that runs underneath the surface makes of this, and unforgettable experience.
Here will have breakfast, and then we'll take a walk and those who want to might take a bath in the warm water (between 25ºC and 30ºC).near the geysers.
Then we drive towards Puritama hot spring waters trough the town of Machuca with its beautiful church. Once in Puritama we take a bath in the natural holes of hot waters at 33º C average temperature. There are 8 holes with a deck each one and restrooms facilities. In the afternoon we return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 5 Hiking Machuca - Rio Grande
After breakfast we drive in our vehicle to the town Machuca to start our 4000 meters above sea level walk, following Peñaliri River, observing ancient places of human settlements, surrounded by a beautiful flora and fauna atacameña. We travel through a central valley in direction of the Domeyko mountain range, enjoying a landscape of the Altiplano of the north of Chile, finishing in the Village of Rio Grande dedicated to agriculture. Day 6 Volcano Toco Ascent
After breakfast we drive to 2400 meters above sea level, to start our walk. After 1 hour and a half we reach Cerro Toco, an ancient sleepy volcano with easy access. Once at 5000 meters above sea level the ascent to the summit will take us between 2 and 3 hours, reaching 5616 meters of altitude. We enjoy the fantastic view of the other summits and altiplanic lagoons. We descend in about one hour and return to San Pedro de Atacama in our vehicle. Hostería double or single base. Day 7 San Pedro de Atacama - Calama
At the indicated time, according to the flight schedule, we transfer to Calama airport.
