DAY 1: SANTIAGO
Get your flashes ready for this 13-day adventure that will take you to some of the most well-hidden and picturesque places of Chile and part of Argentina. The sites you visit will be postcard ready and a guide who has been trained in the field will be available to assist you. The journey begins once we are picked up from the airport of Santiago and taken to the accommodation for check in. Afterwards, we will delve into the city to observe iconic landmarks such as the Main Square, San Cristóbal Hill, La Vega Market and others. Towards evening we will have the opportunity to get to photograph this vibrant city and get to know a different side of it when we visit the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista. There we will be treated to an amazing welcome dinner at one of the best restaurants of the area. Overnight in Santiago. (D) DAY 2: SANTIAGO – VALPARAÍSO – CASABLANCA – SANTIAGO The second day will start very early in the morning, our first destination being scenic Valparaiso. We may even reach the city before the sun rises, witnessing the vividness of the architecture that stands out. Our visit will focus on the beautiful Alegre and Concepción Hills, known for their typical cable cars. Later, we will move on to the city of Viña del Mar to eat an appetizing meal. Once we have finished and if time permits, we may visit a museum that will allow us to explore the background of the famous poet, Pablo Neruda. In the afternoon we will go to the valley of Casablanca, where we will tour this private vineyard and have an exquisite wine tasting. In the meantime, we will have the perfect chance to take impressive pictures of its scenery. Finally, we will return to our accommodation. Overnight in Santiago. (B, L) DAY 3: SANTIAGO – TEMUCO After being picked up at your hotel and transported to the airport of Santiago, our journey will continue to Temuco. Once we have arrived we will visit the secluded sector of Lago Budi. The magic of this place does not only sit within its saltwater lake, but also in the essence of the community. Here we will enjoy an ethnical experience amidst beautiful surroundings and authentic people. What is more, we will get to photograph this whole adventure step by step and also taste the local flavors of a Mapuche lunch. We will subsequently return to Temuco and if time permits, we may proceed to the Ñielol Hill to snap a few pictures of the outstanding view during sunset. Overnight in Temuco. (B, L) DAY 4: CURACAUTÍN – MALALCAHUELLO – CONGUILLÍO NATIONAL PARK Once we have finished our breakfast, we will leave our accommodation and drive to the area of Curacautín. We will continue along the road and pass the vast countryside of the Araucanía Region full of ethnicity. Throughout todays journey we will have various stops along the way to take snapshots of the surrounding landscapes. Ultimately, we will reach the Conguillío National Park and our accommodation. Overnight and dinner at Lodge La Baita. (B, D) DAY 5: VILLARRICA – PANGUIPULLI – PUERTO FUY – HUILO HUILO We will start our day at sunrise photographing the endless panoramas that the Conguillío National Park has to offer. We will get to see the magnificent Llaima and Sierra Nevada volcanoes along with fascinating lagoons. Afterwards, we will pass through the city of Villarrica, with an eclectic range of attractions. During the trip, we will find lots of lookout points that have different angles towards volcanoes, lakes and Araucaria trees. We will reached the sector of Panguipulli and then follow the route bordering a lake to arrive to the Puerto Fuy. Overnight and dinner in Huilo Huilo. (B, D) DAY 6: HUILO HUILO – PUERTO OCTAY – PUERTO VARAS Day break will offer the perfect scenario to take some breathtaking pictures of the areas waterfalls or nearby lake. After returning for our morning breakfast we will say goodbye to this region and continue on our journey. We will follow the route which will take us past several quaint small towns. We will then arrive to Puerto Octay, characterized by its German architecture, making for some incredible pictures. There, we will also enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant known for its gastronomy and picturesque setting. A little further south down the road we will find the town Frutillar, an inspirational town with a beautiful setting. Our last destination will be the city of roses known as Puerto Varas. Overnight in Puerto Varas. (B, L) DAY 7: PUERTO VARAS – PUNTA ARENAS Our morning starts with a transfer to the airport of Puerto Montt. From there we will travel to Punta Arenas where depending upon arrival time we will most likely have a Patagonian city tour. Afterwards, we will go to our accommodation for check in. In the afternoon, we will visit some of the iconic places of the city such as the Main Square, Cerro La Cruz lookout point and the boardwalk, so we will have to make sure to bring our camera! In the evening we will have time to rest and prepare for the rest of the adventure which lays ahead. Overnight in Punta Arenas. (B) DAY 8: PUNTA ARENAS – PUERTO NATALES – TORRES DEL PAINE Today we will depart from Punta Arenas to reach Puerto Natales by midday. There, we will walk around this fascinating city admiring the views from the waterfront. We will then continue to our next destination, Torres del Paine, best known for being one of the Eighth Wonders of the World. After check in we will explore this national park where as the sunsets we will have the opportunity to take unique and fantastic photos. Overnight and dinner in Torres del Paine. (B, D) |
DAY 9-10: TORRES DEL PAINE SURROUNDINGS
The following two days will be spent discovering the magic of the Torres del Paine National Park. We will have a collection of guided excursions to go on, offering various picture perfect moments. On the first day we will visit the Amarga Lagoon early in the morning to contemplate the wonderful sunrise between the mountains. This, will be followed by an exciting photo safari where we will have the opportunity to spot local wild life such as guanacos, foxes, eagles, and other. Later in the day take a trek to a nearby lagoon, lookout point and / or waterfall surrounding ourself in pristine landscapes. The second day will be spent either taking a hike in the midst of the imposing mountains and glaciers or a lighter climb to the Ferrier Lookout Point. During this two day period we will take some incredible pictures at dusk. Overnight in Torres del Paine. (B, BL, D) DAY 11: TORRES DEL PAINE – EL CALAFATE – NIMEZ LAGOON Our journey continues once we leave Torres del Paine and travel to the charming city of El Calafate, Argentina. Upon arrival, we will move on to this day’s highlight: The Nimez Lagoon. This area is a nature reserve where we will be able to witness the representative Patagonian landscapes. We will have time to take snap shots of its flora and fauna with a fascinating sunset as the main backdrop. Lastly, we will return to your accommodation. Overnight in El Calafate. (B, BL) DAY 12: EL CALAFATE – LOS GLACIARES NATIONAL PARK – EL CALAFATE – PUERTO NATALES In the morning we will say goodbye to El Calafate and embark on a trip to the Los Glaciares National Park. Once there, we will reach the impressive Perito Moreno Glacier, known for its unique look out points. We will subsequently enjoy our lunch right in front of the glacier. Afterwards, we will have the chance to take pictures of this icy landscape. To finish this day, we will travel to Puerto Natales, where we will partake in a wonderful farewell dinner (not included). Overnight in Puerto Natales. (B, BL or L) DAY 13: DEPARTURE Concluding this experience, we will leave Puerto Natales via transfer to the airport of Punta Arenas.
