Day 1 - Buenos Aires | Meals: -
Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights at selected hotel in Buenos Aires, breakfast and local taxes are included. City tour of Buenos Aires With this tour you will understand why it's known the beautiful city of Buenos Aires as the "Paris of South America". The tour begins with a tour of 9 de Julio Avenue, one of the widest avenues in the world, where you can find the symbol of the city: the Obelisk. You will stop at Plaza de Mayo, where you will visit the Casa Rosada, name by which it is popularly known the presidential palace, and the magnificent Metropolitan Cathedral, with its incredible neoclassical facade, mausoleum of national hero, General San Martin. You will also visit squares as San Martin, Alvear and Plaza del Congreso. Important avenues like Corrientes, Av. De Mayo, among others. Important areas of the city like La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo, Recoleta and the most modern: Puerto Madero. Day 2 - Buenos Aires / Tucumán | Meals: Breakfast Private transfer from your hotel to the Airport. Arrival at Tucuman, Shared transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 1 night at selected hotel in Tucuman, breakfast and local taxes are included. At the afternoon, City Tour of San Miguel de Tucuman. A tour of the roots of modern history Argentina. We will help you understand the basics of those decisive moments. You will visit: The Plaza Independencia and surroundings: Government House, Temple St. Francis Cathedral, Calle San Martín 400, La Merced Church and Tucumán MUSEUM Historic House. We visited the Park July 9, and the Sugar Industry Museum colombres Bishop House. Around the Plaza Urquiza: the Legislature, the Casino, the Teatro San Martin and the National College. Belgraniana House. Tour through Yerba Buena, Garden City, wooded residential area. Day 3 – Tucumán / Tafi del Valle / Quilmes Ruins / Cafayate | Meals: Breakfast After Breakfast, Route 307 marks the ascent to the Valleys. The road goes through the Quebrada Los Sosa River and stop at the monument "El Indio". Above, we Mollar to visit The menhirs. Then we visited the picturesque town of Tafi del Valle. The RP 307 amounts to the Valleys Calchaquies in pronounced zigzag to Open the Little Hell, to 3,042 m Amaicha Valley: visit the square and its surroundings. After the junction with Route 40, the Sacred City of Quilmes breaks left. At the foot of the hill can be seen the reconstruction of the residential area, topped by a fortress on the top and two forts on both sides. We travel on foot what was the last bastion of resistance to the advancing Aboriginal Spanish. The legendary Route 40 is lost in the valley heading north, but not before passing by Colalao Valley. Day 4 – CAFAYATE / SALTA | Meals: Breakfast
Tour to wineries of Cafayate. The trip to Cachi is a beautiful combination between Quebradas and Valleys. And you can have a breathtaking view of Los Cardones National Park surroundings. The trip begins in the Lerma Valley until El Carril, continuing to Chicoana. You enter to the Quebrada de los Laureles and soon to the Quebrada de Escoipe. You arrive to the Maray entering Cuesta del Obispo, road with abundant curves from where it is possible to enjoy a panoramic view of the Enchanted Valley. At Piedra del Molino you reach 3.384 meters above the sea level, the highest spot in the trip. Soon Los Cardones National Park is crossed by the straight line of Tin-Tin, ancient Inca's road. Arriving to Cachi, a panoramic view of the Nevado de Cachi and Payogasta is observed. You go the town of Cachi where the Archaeological Museum and the Church are visited. You return to Salta through the same route. Accommodation for 2 nights at selected hotel in Salta, breakfast and local taxes are included. Day 5 – SALTA | Meals: Breakfast A tour around the places of greatest attractions of the city: The Cathedral where General Güemes, patriotic hero, rests; Cultural Center America, Historical Museum of the North with exhibitions of sacred art and rooms dedicated to old traditional families of Salta, San Francisco Church, San Bernardo Convent and the monument to General Güemes. You ascend to San Bernardo Hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. After a visit to Batalla de Salta Monument and 20 de Febrero Park, you go towards the outskirts and visit a summer village called San Lorenzo, characterized by the subtropical microclimate and lastly a visit the Artisan Market where craftsmen of the entire province expose their original crafts. Day 6 – SALTA / PURMAMARCA | Meals: Breakfast
The most amazing train in the world, reaching the clouds at 4,200 feet in a distance of 434 km ( return trip) . It is one of the three world's highest railways , which runs through vertiginous mountains of the Andes between landscapes. Part of the city of Salta, passes through the Valle de Lerma , enters the Quebrada del Toro and finally reaches La Puna . Called Train to the Clouds , because of its high altitude , clouds are often seen under bridges and around slopes . The number of spirals , viaducts , tunnels and other windings that runs the train because the author of the project , the American engineer Richard Maury , He took into account the principle of adhesion of train wheels and tracks the laws of physics , discarding the funicular system commonly used for that the train can reach the expected heights. Do not use gears , not even for the steepest parts of the climb, because the tracks are arranged in a peculiar way running through a system of zigzags and spirals. The train leaves the station General Belgrano , in the city of Salta, 1,187 meters above sea level, and ends at the viaduct. It goes from the train station of the city of Salta to the Viaduct Polvorilla . The height of its roads to 4,200 meters above sea level, making it one of the world's highest railways . It has on-board dining service, translator and medical assistance that could cause problems in some passenger oxygen deprivation caused by the height. During the journey Train crosses 29 bridges, 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 2 " rollers" and 2 zigzags . Throughout the tour there are two stops : one in San Antonio station of the Coppers , and the other , on the viaduct The Polvorilla . Day 7 – PURMAMARCA / SALTA | Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Known worldwide, imposing Quebrada de Humahuaca has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This heavenly landscape of colorful hills is home to a variety of diverse, well preserved cultures. The journey leaves from Purmamarca Village. From Purmamarca, trip continues towards the town of Tilcara where you visit the ancient ruins of Pucará, the Archaeological Museum, and Huacalera, and then you cross the Capricorn Tropic, from where the colors of La Pollera del Coya Hill can be seen and really good pictures taken because of the daylight. You visit Uquía and its church, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels, important vestige in the zone of the Cuzqueña School are kept. Arrival to Humahuaca will be at noon; this town has an important Church and the Independence Monument, the Indian, of the sculptor Soto Avendaño. After lunch you'll observe, from the route, La Paleta del Pintor framing the town of Maimara. You continue to San Salvador de Jujuy where the Flag Hall and the Cathedral, characterized by its pulpit carved in wood and gold and the statues of Lola Mora are visited. Finally, you return to Salta through National Route Nº 9 of abundant subtropical vegetation. The last stretch is: El Abra of Santa Laura, observing La Cienaga dam, Las Maderas and Campo Alegre and returning to Salta through Vaqueros.
