Rio, Iguassu Falls and Machu Picchu Tour

Day 1 - arrive Rio. After getting your luggage and going through customs, walk out the exit door and look for a person holding a sign with your name on it. He will transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken to the top of Corcovado mountain. From here the visitor can see nearly the entire city of Rio. Also located here is the Christ the Redeemer statue, 38 meters high. From any place in the city, the visitor can see the most beautiful postcard of Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer statue on the mountain of Corcovado, located at 710 meters above the sea level and inaugurated in 1931. This tour begins with a pass by the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas (except on Sundays) and continues on to Cosme Velho's neighborhood from where the cog train starts a trip through the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, up to the statue. Once there, a panoramic and extraordinary view of Rio will be seen including the Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon. After the visit of the Corcovado, you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 2 - breakfast, then you will be picked up for a Sugarloaf tour. This tour begins with a drive through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, in pyramid form, with internal diameter of 96 meters and height of 80 meters. Get to know the traditional Cinelândia square with the historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói bridge and Corcovado hill. From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395 meters to find a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói You will be delivered back to your hotel again at the end. Cost of cable car is included in the fare.Free afternoon.
Day 3 - breakfast, then free day till you are transferred to the airport to fly to Iguassu Falls, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 4 - breakfast, then visit to the Argentinian side on a group tour. Departure from the Hotel bound for Iguassu Falls, 30 kilometers from downtown Foz do Iguassu and 24 kilometers from Puerto Iguazu. Arrival to the Visitors Center and the Iguazu National Park Entrance. Tours to the Argentine side of the Falls take place through the lower circuit catwalks, and the upper circuit. In order to visit the Devil’s Throat, the visitor must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking there is the one-kilometer-long Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Center to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit. Once you are at the Devil’s Throat Station you will have to walk for 1100 meters on a flat catwalk built over the Upper Iguassu River. This catwalk crosses several islands where there are snack bars to cater to visitors. Once you get to the end of the catwalks, you will be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat. Each station and catwalks have snack bars and toilets to cater to the visitor. During this visit the Falls will be seen from up close allowing for the detailed appreciation of both flora and fauna as well the Falls who are literally at the reach of one’s hands.
Also do the boat ride to the bottom of the falls. Downstream from the Falls participants will board special boats that will take them, at high speed, to enjoy one of the most unforgettable experience in the region: the direct and wet contact with the mighty Iguassu Falls! Going up river in these boats specially prepared to get to the base of Iguassu Falls and to be able to admire and feel them from up close. Whirlpools, waves and currents provoked by the Falls add adrenaline and lots of emotions to this unforgettable tour. After this incredible emotion participants will get off the boat at the base of the Falls, on a catwalk that connects to the lower visitation circuit of the Falls.
Day 5 - breakfast, then you will be picked up for a tour to the Brazil side of the falls. Arrival to the Visitors Center, at the entrance of the Iguassu National Park, about 10 kilometers from the city center. After passing through the Center, the visit continue, now inside the National Park, along a paved road that will take us to the magnificent Iguassu Falls. There starts the walking tour along the catwalk measuring one kilometer of easy walking. Along this easy trek, there are several gorgeous panoramic views of the Falls and at the end of the catwalk a fantastic close-up encounter with the Devils’ Throat and main cataracts. The tour ends at the upper part of Iguassu Falls accessed through a panoramic elevator; from there, the visitors will follow a track to as far as the Espaço Porto Canoas (The Port Canoas Space), where you will find a pleasurable lookout point with a view to the upper Iguassu River. The Port Canoas Space also has the Porto Canoas Restaurant and snack bars, handicraft shop, toilets and a medical first aid outpost. Transfer back to the hotel, then later you will be transferred to the airport to fly to Lima. Arrive Lima, where you will be met and transferred to airport hotel
Day 6 - breakfast, transfer back to airport, arrive Cusco, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon tour of this magnificent city, a blend of Inca and Spanish Cultures, visiting the Korikancha or Temple of the Sun and the Cathedral, continuing from there to the nearby ruins of Tambomachay (Inca fountains), Puca-Pucara (the Red Fortress), Kenko (sacred site) and finally Sacsahuaman Fortress.
Day 7 - breakfast, then full day group Sacred Valley tour, including lunch. Full day visit to the Sacred Valley (Sun.,Tues.,Thurs.). The Pisac Market is a colorful morning market where you can purchase Peruvian weavings, jewelry, and pottery, and see its traditional Indian market where goods are traded. Visits to Pisac are on Sundays and Thursdays. After lunch we visit Ollantaytambo, the Inca town on which the present day town is based is clearly seen as a fine example of the traditional Inca City planning of Canchas or blocks, which are almost entirely intact and still occupied. The tour includes visits the village, terraces, temples, irrigation systems, granaries, the fortress and the temple of the Sun built by Pachacuty Inca, using Colla Indians from Lake Titicaca..
Day 8 - breakfast, then full day group tour to Machu Picchu, including lunch. A guided tour of the complete city set on the mountain with terraced slopes falling away to the Urubamba river. This place for centuries was buried in jungle, until Hiram Bingham stumbled upon it in 1911. The tour includes visit to the, temples, palaces, towers fountains and after the tour you will have free time to explore on your own before returning to Cusco. Includes transfers in Cusco, vistadome train tickets, bus services in Machu Picchu up/down, lunch, guide, entrance fee. Return to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
Day 9 - breakfast, then transfer to airport to fly back to Lima to connect with your departure flight or we can add on an Amazon stay or Lake Titicaca module.
