Day 1: Arrival in Bogotá
This is the start of an exciting journey through a country that has so much diversity and beautiful places it will take your breath away. We will give you a warm welcome at the airport and your private driver will bring you to your centrally located hotel (Hotel Muisca) in the capital city of Colombia. (-/-/-)

Day 2: City Walking tour Bogotá or BikeTour
Today you will visit the historic downtown of Bogotá “La Candelaria” with its magnificent churches, the government palace and the "Plaza Bolivar.” Furthermore, you will visit the museum of Botero (closed on Tuesdays) where you can marvel at the many great art works of the famous Colombian artist – for example the “Mona Lisa” in exaggerated shape.
Then you will head up the Monserrate hill. The cable car takes you up to the top of Monserrate, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the bustling metropolis of Bogotá. Here you will visit the church which is located on top of the mountain and enjoy an amazing view of the huge capital city. (B/-/-)

Biking Tour Bogotá
If it is Sunday you will take part in the Ciclovia and explore the city of Bogota by bike. The “Ciclovia” takes place on Sundays and holidays in the capital city and about 200km of main roads are closed for everyone who wants to be active with his bike, jogging, on rollerblades, going out with the dog or the whole family! In many parks there are also free aerobic classes where everyone can take part! Enjoy a great local unique experience by being part of Bogotá’s Ciclovia! |
You will also visit Usaquen. This area is Locality number 1 in Bogotá and is located to the northeast of the city. Until 1777 it was an indigenous village and its inhabitants were displaced to the south due to a local law emitted by the Spaniards. Today is a bohemian area with lots of bars and restaurants, keeping its charm from colonial times. Your visit to this area of the city includes a walking tour around it, visiting the church, main square and main streets. On Sunday mornings there is a nice market to visit where you can find handicrafts and fruits from all over the country.
At the end of the afternoon, you will be driven to Suesca (1 hour and 30 minutes drive). Located at 60 kms to the north of Bogotá, Suesca is part of the geographical region called Sábana de Bogotá, or plain of Bogotá. Suesca is a scenic countryside town which is well known because its landscape attracts devotees of climbing, trekking, mountain biking and rafting.
Day 3: Paragliding & Rock Climbing or Mountain Biking
Morning adventure activity – choose between Rock Climbing and Mountain Biking (3 hours) and afternoon transfer to Pionono Mountain to have lunch and do Paragliding enjoying a beautiful view of the Bogotá Sabana (5 hours).

Exciting experience of rock climbing at La Pared (The Wall) of Suesca. Learn or practice rock climbinng with a professional instructor who will provide all necessary equipment to practice this exciting sport. For those who choose Mountain Biking, after receiving the Bicycles, helmets, etc. and the briefing for the route you will have 3 hours of going uphill and downhill enjoying beautiful landscapes.
Once you have finished your morning activities, you will be driven to Pionono Mountain, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch with a beautiful view of the Bogotá Sabana. After lunch you will have the opportunity to fly a tandem Paraglider with a certified pilot. The flight will be around 15 minutes long. At the end of the afternoon, you will be driven back to Bogotá (B/L/-) |
at PosadaDay 4: Flight to Bucaramanga (not included) & Caving in San Gil
This morning you will take a flight to Bucaramanga and we will drive to San Gil, the Colombia's Adventure Sports Capital. San Gil is a town in the Santander Province, located roughly 300 km (192 mi) from Bogotá and 95 km from the department's capital, Bucaramanga. Founded in 1689, San Gil is over 300 years old and it was officially named the touristic capital of the region in 2004, thanks to its outdoor activity opportunities such as rafting, caving, kayaking and other adventure sports.
Today you will do a caving excursion where you can visit one of the most attractive caves in the Santander province. Listen to the water that drops through the stone and learn more about the cave's geological anatomy and climb on a 7 meter waterfall and jump off it into the dark waters. We will swim around and enjoy a combination of moving forward as we count the horizontal meters (100) that we will finish off until we see daylight again. Transfer to Barichara where you will spend the next nights at Posada La Nube. (B/-/-)

Our agenda today is full of adventure! You will get another adrenaline boost rafting down one of the most powerful rivers of the Santander region. Use up all your energy, while you enjoy yourself and experience outstanding teamwork with the other participants and the guide. On the river Fonce in San Gil or the rivers Suarez and Chicamocha it is possible to practice rafting.
You think fear of heights is a myth? Get your adrenaline boost while rappelling from up to 65m down along waterfalls of Juan Curi in the Páramo department (about 30 minutes from San Gil) (B/L/-)

Day 6: Visit Chicamocha National Park (optional activities like ziplining) & Flight to Cartagena (not included)
In the morning we will drive to Bucarmanga, Santander's Capital, and we´ll make a stop at PANACHI (Parque Nacional del Chicamocha) to enjoy a beautiful view of the Chicamocha Canyon and the cable car ride.
Optional activities in Chicamocha National Park (not included): At the Chicamocha Canyon there are spots for paragliding which allow you to admire the beautiful landscapes of the Chicamocha Canyon while flying. Also you can go for the fabulous Zip Line ride or the giant swing.

Late in the afternoon you will be driven to Bucaramanga´s airport to fly to Cartagena (Via Bogota), which is one of the main tourist attractions in Colombia, also known as the "Pearl of the Caribbean". It preserves the past and the memories of the struggles of that time. Besides you will experience the attractions, Cartagena offers such as cultural festivals, beautiful beaches, fine dining, a lively nightlife and a significant hotel and tourism infrastructure. Day 7: Rosario Islands daytrip (San Pedro de Majagua Island)
The Rosario Islands are located approximately 40km (approx. 1 hour by boat) south-west of Cartagena. They consist of 27 islands and 20 hectares of coral islands and reefs. Some are swampy and consist mainly of mangrove and coconut trees. Explore the impressive, beautiful landscapes of Islas Del Rosario with its clear waters and gentle breezes. Get enchanted by dolphins and other mammals, which enrich the natural beauty of the islands. Today, the entire marine area, including the Islas de Barú and the Islas de San Bernardo are protected areas. In the afternoon you will return to Cartagena. |
There are different optional activities that you can book on your own once you get to the island: Visit the aquarium, Snorkeling, Kayak rental, Bike rental and much more.(B/L/-)
Day 8: Bike Tour on Tierrabomba with relaxing at the beach in the afternoon
We will start our tour in the early morning at 7 am. A Van will bring us to the beach of Castillo Grande, where our professional Mountain Bikes are waiting for us, as well as the boat which will bring us to Tierrabomba Island ( Duration: 15 min.)
After arriving on the island we will start our 3 to 4 hours bike tour across the undulating countryside, up – and downhill included!
The whole distance is about 68 km, but we will adjust, change or shorten the distance due to the physical ability of the clients. There are varied easy and challenging paths. We can have breaks and photo stops as the clients like to. We highly recommend a break at the Mirador. This tour is very demanding and only suitable for sporty clients. When the sun reaches the peak at midday, we will go to the beach Santa Punta Arena, where we will have lunch. During our leisure time, untill 3 pm and 4 pm, we will get the chance to cool down in the ocean or to relax at the beach. After that, we will take the boat back to Cartagena and the transportation by Van to our hotel. (B/-/-)
